Good to see that you gave a little money to the poor kids. I didn't came across kids asking for money in Kerala but I did in Goa, wanted to give something, but my Rajasthani friend forbid it. In Chennai was funny, some kids just refuse to give up and followed for quite a distance. In Mumbai, was a bit chaotic, in the first year, I couldn't afford to hire a car, so my main transportation was the auto rickshaw. One day after office on a rickshaw goong back home, the rickshaw stopped at a red traffic light. A group of kids came asking for money, not only that, took my umbrella and a bottle of water. But luckily, one of them, an older kid, took my umbrella from the kid and gave it back to me. As soon as I wanted to give him some money, the traffic light turned green. But my experience weren't that bad as one of my ex consulate staff experienced something more scarry.

Hey man I loved the video! I am thinking about going to do a backpacking trip to Kerala (Kochi too) end of August but I am wondering what the temperature/weather is like. When was this video recorded? And what did you think of the weather? Have been staying in Delhi region for a month which is very hot and humid (I was fine) but what was your experience in Kerala?
Thanks for watching David! it was very recent and it was extremely hot and sweaty but nice towards the evenings. Overall just make sure you have enough vests/anti sweat t-shirts and you should be fine :)
It's monsoon till August then it's only going to get better for u. August end to Jan is preferred tourism even for Indians. Kerala/south India is best is u don't want busy streets and more exploration with amazing foofs

Unlike other parts of india, kerala has all major religions, because of its long history of trade over thousands of years back with various parts of the world. But talking about Christianity in kerala, unlike other parts of india, the religion was not only spread by any missionaries or colonial traders. Even long ages ago, It was influenced by St. Thomas the Apostle who came to Kerala via the trade route in AD 52 and taught about living as Christ, the saviour. It was in turn led to spread of Christianity in all other parts of south india, thats why the christians in kerala are called Marthoma Nasranis (or St. Thomas Christians). thank you.

Hey man I loved the video! I am thinking about going to do a backpacking trip to Kerala (Kochi too) end of August but I am wondering what the temperature/weather is like. When was this video recorded? And what did you think of the weather? Have been staying in Delhi region for a month which is very hot and humid (I was fine) but what was your experience in Kerala?
Thanks for watching David! it was very recent and it was extremely hot and sweaty but nice towards the evenings. Overall just make sure you have enough vests/anti sweat t-shirts and you should be fine :)
It's monsoon till August then it's only going to get better for u. August end to Jan is preferred tourism even for Indians. Kerala/south India is best is u don't want busy streets and more exploration with amazing foofs

Unlike other parts of india, kerala has all major religions, because of its long history of trade over thousands of years back with various parts of the world. But talking about Christianity in kerala, unlike other parts of india, the religion was not only spread by any missionaries or colonial traders. Even long ages ago, It was influenced by St. Thomas the Apostle who came to Kerala via the trade route in AD 52 and taught about living as Christ, the saviour. It was in turn led to spread of Christianity in all other parts of south india, thats why the christians in kerala are called Marthoma Nasranis (or St. Thomas Christians).
