For the last day of Ultimate Adventure 2014 General Rick Péwé had something special in store for the group to play at Flat Nasty Off-Road Park. Finally back on dry land after days of mud and muck the group encounters plenty of trails to test both the mild and the extreme. The first trek of the day took them to the bottom of a dry, rocky riverbed. The rocks and traction proved to be a welcome novelty before the day ended with a run up some particularly nasty obstacles named Momma Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear.

just got done watching all the videos...that was a brilliant trip. I bet u guys enjoyed being on that trip as I enjoyed watching it. I would love to go on a trip like that some day!

That Jeep looks very dependable.
Some Chevy's are built to last as well; we just spent $50 in gas off-roading in loose dirt, come check out the video we made with DSLR's and GoPro's.

ropehnd Its always nice to go 1st when the rocks are as dry as possible. As more rigs tried the face just got wetter and wetter.

yaknow the magazine built that dodge truck and they lengthened the frame only to high center on everything, they shouldve left it the wheelbase it was when they got it

i dont think you know how short one a dodge aircraft tug is
its pretty big they were talking about how it came with a 132in wheelbase when they purchased it and a 4 door JK is about 116in and people say that is pretty long on trail. I mean even the full size broncos and blazers are only at 104-110 or so and as somebody who has an early bronco with a 93in wheelbase, 104-110 seems to be about the sweet spot

why was there barely any video of the cherokee? did the quadra drive/trac not do so well...or did it eat everything for breakfast and didnt make interesting video?
It is hard sometimes to include as much footage in a video as you want.
Don't want to include the same obstacle over and over again. Makes people get bored and switch off. If a rig is doing something too easy, then its not as fun to watch. Haha

I thought he meant turtle as in flipped over on their tops like a turtle. I assure you, Rick Pewe has done more in short wheelbased vehicles than 90% of the people in these comments COMBINED.

so how is it wheeling manual vs auto? I've always wondered since my xj is auto and I want a stick in it. any thoughts?
Johnny Warshaw alot of guys like manual for holding a specific gear i have a auto and its way easier to wheel
highway if your under powered you could use a manual to shift down
my opinion is stay auto
I used to drive a manual out wheeling.
I switched to Auto. Auto does make it easier when crawling over things and steep inclines.
Manual does have its advantages going down steep declines as you can lock in a gear.
I suggest the auto.
Look at the trucks at the start then the end, they got beat to shit!

Dirt bikes are easy and nimble to get around things!

You have to do it to understand.
I was never a fan of this stuff until my buddy took me out in his jeep. It truly is fun once you actually do it.
It's all about skill people think it's easy but trust me it's not it put's your driving skills to test.
It's not for everyone, but it is very technically challenging. Its kinda like chess except you play it with huge rocks and a truck....
