Hi Amy. I'm so excited you have a code with Ace Beaute. Also I wanted to tell someone So since you we're my next video up to watch I'm excited because. After a very long time & covid affecting my finances. I was able to purchase some palettes that I've been drooling over. I got Huda Beauty mercury retrograde and the naughty nudes. Buy one get the mercury retrograde free. I was so thrilled that I got that deal. 2nd I've been wanting the 5pan mini ND retro, AND the Love palettes from Natasha Denona. I know you we're totally wowed by the Love palette. But I am sooo happy with it. Such beautiful colors..I was able to get the Love palette for half off. I still want the midi retro. In the future. But I'm so excited to have these palettes. I want to ty for your first Ace Beaute new vs old formula video. That was a great review. You do the best swatches. Well I gotta watch this video. Have a great day.
@@purplepeggy9027 sorry to hear about your finances being affected by covid but it's great you've been able to afford some palettes now. ❤️ I've never bought any Huda large palettes, just the small 9 pan ones because the larger ones are so expensive (ditto ND).
I appreciate your honesty. At this point of my makeup journey, I feel like I have these colors scattered across multiple palettes/singles. Since the change in formula isn't as drastic especially for the shimmers, I don't think I need to pick any (I too like a very impactful metallic). That said I'm glad they listened to people and improved the matte formula, by making it more user friendly. Congrats on getting an affiliate code, I think it's deserved.
I allways loved the color stories on this palettes, but I heard so many mixed reviews so I never got it. But now... I think I’m gonna have to place a huge order on the Ace beaute site. 😊
Thank you for this! I have the Flair and the Oceanic (old formula) and don't have any issues but I always wanted a couple from the paradise collection and was hesitant to buy. Definately gonna get them now! Your looks were gorgeous! Wouldn't mind two more looks with the flair palette as well!
Omg you make me want the flair palette so bad lol! You should be proud of these looks they were all lovely :) i like seeing the softer look possibilities with color stories like these
Yeah, I decluttered the 2 that I owned quite a while ago. I won't repurchase since I've already replaced the shades I liked with singles from Indie Brands. But I'm happy to hear you're plzed with the formula change & will now use those palettes :)
I love how much you're feeling these palettes! I would love to see you do a video on palettes you'd like to see reformulated. A couple of us were talking about that in the comments of your last Ace Beaute video, and my first choice was the Nomad Tokyo Harajuku palette. I love everything else about it: the packaging, the colour story, the sparkly multichrome toppers... But those mattes are one of my least favourites, ever. They're so, so, so soft and smooth. So finely milled that you can't even feel any texture, even with a fingertip. And something about the matte formula means that you cannot pack anything on top of it without it going muddy or patchy. The only looks I could do with it were like, one matte or satin in the crease, and a shimmer on the lid... And that's not my "thing." If I'm going to do my makeup, I'm doing something big, bold, and multicoloured. If I don't feel like doing that, or don't have enough time, I usually just go bare-faced (or very close). They're so, so, so soft and finely-milled that it's like trying to put on blush after you've baked with a super finely-milled 100% silica powder: nothing wants to stick to it. It's just such a difficult formula, for the kinds of looks I want to do, in general, and with that palette, itself. I would buy a reformulation of that palette INSTANTLY. I wanted to love that palette so, so much. 😭 And I still use those toppers, because they're so pretty. And it's staying in my collection, regardless, because the packaging is adorable. But I'd love it in a more easy-to-use formula! I think there's maybe a reason that almost all mattes have SOME texture to them, like they may need that, in order to stick to each other. Because even the 2nd most finely-milled formula I've tried - the Kaleidos Makeup one - has SOME grit to them. And that matte formula is definitely in my top 3 favourites of all time. It is the most easy-to-blend, IMO. You can basically do a whole ass gradient, using just one shade. 😳 I could be wrong, and that may not be why, at all. Just a guess. It could be something unique in the formulation, too. I don't know. But I'd love to see a redo! 😭
I definitely went straight ahead and bought two palettes after i watched the video using your code. Because i figured its my birthday this month and its my birthday gift to me 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.
I KNEWWWW that the look I was in love with from your look the other day was your redo with the classical Paradise palette. So so so stunning. 😍 ETA: I think your thoughts on this make sense. I have Nostalgia, which I think is the new formula, and it's good but it's not mind-blowing. But hopefully folks who were afraid to try the brand cause of the polarizing formula can give it a try! Cause Ace really does have the most beautiful and unique colors imo
The only ace palette I have left is classical paradise bc I’m a sucker for grungy greens (any green that veers more olive, mossy or sage), oranges and reds (and yellows ofc) but I struggled with the formula. So I gave the rest of my ace palettes away to a friend. Fortunately she’s the type to pack a couple of shades on and go so she didn’t have the blending issues I had. The Ace palettes had the pigment, my friend has a darker chocolate skin tone and unlike a lot of other shadows, the mattes would show up. But for me I struggled bc the darker shades often fluffed away if layered or tried to build. But the color stories!!!!! I love them. I’m really excited to repurchase a few palettes. I’m def getting a new classical paradise and prob for the first time the pink one. Idk I’m broke as fck, so I’m going to have to order strategically.
Wish they would offer a bundle deal on these new palettes like they did when the old palettes first came out.. The new palettes seem to definitely blend easier..
Thanks so much for this video, it was super helpful and always appreciate your honesty and your final recommendations make total sense! YES PLEASE to your suggestion of doing more looks with the Flair palette, it's my favourite colour story 😍
I found a few shade differences between the OG Oceanic palette and the new. I guess they weren't able to match every single color with the new formula.
Thank youu Amy ♡ as always for your detailed reviews and thoughts, I have most of their palette and im not down on repurchasing >.< but I'm happy they made a better formula :)
I love the look you did with the Classical Paradise palette. I agree with you that a more neutral brown would have been a good addition to that palette instead of the 3 red toned mattes. I really like it when a brand thinks about that sort of thing when creating a colour story - what can deepen up what and having light shimmers to brighten inner corner and having some interesting contrasts in the colour story.
I have the original oceanic palette, I love the color story but hate the formula. I tried using the palette again yesterday and got so frustrated that I gave up and used my blends palette plus a Terra moons shimmer, which made me realize that I don't need the oceanic in the new formula.... But I will definitely be picking up their new Tropical vibes palette 😍
My fav look was from the slice of paradise palette. 💗💛 All the palettes look nice but I'll hold of purchasing until they have a newer release and pick up a few then.
I got my palette into today! It is sooooo beautiful! I love love love it! And I have so many palettes that for me to say that says something about the palette for sure
Amy, thank you so much for taking the time to review the palettes and do looks with each one. I only own Paradise Fallen and struggle with it somewhat, but I totally love the color story, so I'm thinking of repurchasing it in the new formula along with some of their other palettes. The palette with the shimmery red is gorgeous! Are the pans magnetized, by any chance?
Thanks Amy! I've had my eye on Oceanic ever since I first saw it so am going to get it soon even though there isn't that much of a difference. Will use your code :)
I had the flair palette and I still think the color story is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen but I couldn’t work with the mattes. They were too dry and stiff for me and never blended out. I got rid of it but now with the reformulated version I’m curious... how are the shimmers? Are they like an eyeshadow or the putty formula? I don’t like putty shimmers so I wonder

I'm always so inspired by your makeup. It's so everyday wear yet super colorful and unusual combos... maybe it's the way you blend. It's so soft!

The classical paradise look is EVERYTHING
I just bought the Classical Paradise palette and I love it! I will def be using harvest and sunflower every day now!

I have 1 ace beaute palette Vintage Dawn. I just pulled it out and it’s a great palette. I hope to get more with the new formula.

I love those colors too. Just ordered the wilderness palette after watching Amy’s video.

I loved all the looks💗. Very nice and easy i want all those palettes so bad. 😒
These are beautiful looks 😍 How are the Sigma Cinderella brushes doing?
Do you know what exactly is different about the formulations? I have a hard time finding ingredients for their palettes.
I really want them. But even with your code it’s to expensive in shipping taxes etc😢 I wish I could buy them in EU. 😔
These looks are all so beautiful! 💗✨
Does anyone else agree that the Classical Paradise Palette looks like it could be a great Christmas Palette?
