There’s an infinite number of edge cases. Data without a causal world model is as fallible as attempting to count to infinity. They’ll need an entirely different technology than the current systems being deployed.
Correct, they have an infinite number of edge cases and for each edge case, they may only have 1-100 real video examples of it. As you know, this is not enough data to train a model. Tesla will need to change approach again very soon, when they find V12 is not fit for purpose.

Good report but its only what most pundits are saying. EVs? Long way to go 1) Not enough electrical power for all cars to be EVs for 10 years or more, EV infrastructure is still poor. 2) Breakthroughs still possible - e.g. Solid State batteries, Japan likely to perform here. 3) GM and Ford not really software or AI companies but hybrids still a very good option for them. 3) Tesla's Optimus could overwhelm but could also fizzle, wait for their FSD and Optimus research results before committing your wealth. (unless you like to gamble - lol)

ARKK is selling at the same price it was 4 years ago. The Nasdaq is up about 100% during the same time frame and Woods is telling us to buy TSLA. Just unbelievable.
And ARKK has a 0.75% expense ratio. FNCMX is 0.30% (fidelity’s nasdaq fund) which is 2.5x the expense. She will eventually be right like a broken clock is right at least twice/day, but she would have taken huge fees from investors along the way.

If all cars were autonomous there would be no problem, we could do it now. But, because we have silly drivers doing silly things, therein lies the difficulty, of bringing autonomy to the masses. It with version 12 with AI and machine learning, it will happen before you can blink stay tuned.

If Cathie can at least acknowledge the fact that Tesla constantly over-promises and under-delivers, that at least would make her look better with more creditability. The new bigger Tesla battery cells are producing less range for all models, their new 2024 cars have shorter ranges compared to 2023 models. Then, the Autopilot FSD is constantly postponed from one year to the next since promised to be "fully autonomous" by end of 2017. The promised timeline of new products also always get postponed, Cybertruck has been delayed for 4.5 years, Semis 4 years, Tesla Roadster 5 years; not to mention the over-promise of 500 plus miles of range for the Cybertruck, now is only 315 miles on paper and many new owners have tested the range of their Cybertrucks, which only gets between 180 miles and 250 miles in real world driving. Tesla has a history of over-promising and under-delivering. I don't know if Tesla should be one of seven magnificent stocks since all the other six magnificent stocks can delivery their promise; only Tesla cannot. Bummer. Cathie, open your eyes.

Honda with SCSK. not so specifically the Japanese @@landcruiser801 they all have real programmers, I doubt that the car companies will be doing anything fundamental in AI, more that they will be applying research that we've already seen, specifically Liquid Neural Nets from MIT, or approaches derived from it. Tesla's Dojo is ill placed for such a solution, but more generally they have have so many issues with implementing rudimentary functionality.. my two cents
