The Born Africans is a Legendary phenominal Music group, perhaps best remembered for their Hits songs like "Praises","Babylon Be Still", "No More War" , "Camouflage Feeling" and the list goes on. The crew till today is regarded by many music enthusiasts as one of the finest Music groups to come out of The Gambia, thanks to their distinctive musical prowess.
Formed back in the 1990s.The 4-member crew namely -Dr. Shaka, Ras Pyton, Ranking Fire and Biggie for several years, have taken the country's entire music scene by storm.
The Born Africans are credited for being the trailblazers of the Gambian music scene.
They came at the time when the country's music scene was virtually dominated by foreign music.The Born Africans were the first group of artists to change the status-quo.They dominated the reggae musical arena in the Gambia with two of their best albums, 'Praises' and 'No More War'.
The Legends -Most Powerful Music Group that has made History in the Gambia and across the Globe..

The year this tune dropped, was the year i fell down from a mango tree trying to get some mangoes and then sell it so i can attend a well known DJ performing in our village. While i was on the mago tree, i was singing this song 'praises' and all of a suddenly the branch i was leaning on broke and i went down, unfortunately i had a fractured and wasn't able to attend the show. Here i am still vibing with this masterpiece. Big up to to born Africans.
Why The Gambian Radio's don't play this kind of music ,,,seriously
