    Very informative. But since FAP is also expressed in inflamnations and fibrosis will it have an added advantage over FDG ?

    • @BiprojitNath
      @BiprojitNath  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Expressed but at low concentrations. Clearly it has an added advantage to distinguish a lesion from a physiological uptake

    Fapi is only scan or treatment
    My mother is taking this but i don't know about fapi

      Hi Maan!
      FAPI can be used for both diagnosis and therapy! based on the Radionuclide attached to it. If it's Gallium, it will give u diagnostic images and information. and if its 177Lu, (or others) can be used for therapeutic applications ( for the treatment of different cancers)

    Very nice presentation. Is there a radiochemistry lab at IIT Kharagpur?

    • @BiprojitNath
      @BiprojitNath  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No there is no radiochemistry lab in IIT kharagpur. There is MoU between IIT kharagpur and VECC Kolkata. They have radiochem facility and cyclotron

      @@nso9670 BRIT, INMAS new delhi, they have radiochem reseaech. Apart from this ACTREC khargarh is coming up with a new medical cycltron and animal imaging facility, hopefully they will have an excellent facility there.
