You can add 1 - 2 table spoon of bone meal in a 10 inch container once , that is enough .. no need to add more.

@@sukhla4983 is what I call the darkest of the three colors one commonly sees in cosmos blossoms. One is white, the second is pink, the third is what I call purple. Perhaps a deep magenta is more accurate.

Cosmos pink is one of my favorite flower. I keep growing cosmos via seeds but squirrels just bite infant plants..but i ll keep growing till i dont get this heartmelting flowers..

Question:
Last year I saved a whole envelope of two varieties of cosmos, garden and sulfur.
Both sprouted and grew gloriously.
The sulfur plants self-seeded, but the garden ones did not.
All summer I have had many red and yellow and orange cosmos plants. But not a single white or pink one.
Why?
Anyone know why?
Im not sure , sulfurs are a lot easier with germination, make sure you collect at right time and store properly,,
Orange and yellow one grow all year along but pink and white one grows slightly in low temperature between 21° - 7°
