I still think he stayed in the original timeline with peggy. Because that is what the movie showed. For you to live in another reality and come back to your original timeline, you would need the time machine and Cap did not appear through that time machine. And loki has shown us that time loops also exist, when he was time slipping.
Yea so do I. I think whenever we see him for the first time in Doomsday it will be somebody visiting that timeline where he gets his happy ending with Peggy.
