Watched this movie for the first time recently on Prime, and I must say you’ve done a bang-up job of highlighting its qualities! For some reason I had filed Christine away as a “lesser King adaptation” (without ever having seen it) but it’s absolutely worthwhile, and your “reasons to watch” capture exactly why 👍
I absolutely enjoyed christine the movie definitely one of the best king adaptations to me 🙂 I'm really curious how the remake will do because christine doesn't need to be remade in my opinion
This movie is an underrated gem I love it 😍 Watched it twice then got myself the dvd so I could watch it more 😂 I remember reading a comment that the opening scene was like a metaphor for a woman being s*xually harassed The end when her horn going off is meant to be her crying for help Whether that was the intention or not it made me see that scene in a completely different way
John Carpenter is SADLY under-recognized and under-praised as an important, extremely gifted, and very influential figure in 70's-80's cinema and pop culture.
I can't wait to see the remake
I’ll happily watch it, but I can’t say that I think it’s needed - this version is so good already!

Agree. It’s another pointless remake. 5 star film for me.
Absolutely - ditch the remake now and spend that money on something that hasn’t been done before!
Didn't know a remake was even in the works
I agree definitely not needed
My first exposure to King, watched the movie when it premiered on HBO, bought the book....and the rest as they say is history. Love your channel!!
Thank you!
How is the movie comparing to the book?
It’s pretty similar, although does cut a few things and merge some others to help streamline it. Both the book and movie are highly enjoyable!
Great film. Have to rewatch it soon. Good review.
Merci beaucoup
Good movie, great score! John Carpenter outdoes himself 🔥
Totally!
Would you ever do videos on which of Stephen king adaptations deserve to be remade and which one that shouldn't 🤔
Agree with that. Good idea.
I think I did cover some of these in a previous movies special, but I can certainly go back and do a longer list!
@@DaveReadsKing thanks dave 😉

That’s an interesting way to watch the opening scene - never considered it like that!

He really is, especially considering his filmography!
