Hi Bo, you play the guitar a million times better then I do! Great thread. Association, mmmmm, funny. Interesting choice. I do not own any Johnny Rivers music. Amen a Mr Cookes thoughts about the country but we are here for vinyl, but amen Bo. I plan to work on the Animals this year. I really have very little of the , what a shame , please forgive me. Love Al Green also, it is just so difficult to find it in decent shape. I also have no Glen Campbell records. I will look into his music also. Great Howlin Wolf album, a favorite. Talking Heads is one of my all time favorites, I did an early video of my TH collection. This was fun Bo, always good to hear what people really love and enjoy.
Hello, Bo. I love Secret Agent Man. Also like the Association vocals too. The Animals are among my top 5 bands. The Byrds, Spencer Davis Group, Yardbirds, Love and Small Faces are all great bands. Love 'em all. Cheers, Nelio.
Hi Bo - interesting top 20. I've got Beatles, Grateful Dead, Byrds, Small Faces, and Traffic for a top five, so we agree on a couple (Byrds and Small Faces.) I wouldn't argue with your remaining 15. Mountain of Love is one of my all-time favorites. Rock on Bo!
Hi .. great run down .. I’m a fan of glen Campbell, not many people show him on the vc . Small faces , doors , kinks, talking heads I love also .. a few bands you mentioned I’m not that aware of .. I’ll be checking them out .. thanks for sharing 👍
Not sure how this video eluded me. Very enjoyable. I need Bill Withers! Pretty jealous of that. Unplugged is my fav Nirvana record. The Stones baby. You know my parents named me after Brian Jones, right? I’ve mentioned it on a couple of videos. I love the Byrds, Al Green, etc.. so many great bands on here. Cheers, Brian🍀
Shamrock'n Records Brian I’d guess it eluded you because we all have real lives outside TH-cam. Lol. I’m behind a bit. I need to catch up on your videos. You’ve been just killing it lately. Brian Jones IS the stones.
I could have pretty much choose at least ten of these that I knew were your favorites from watching your channel since day one Bo. So I would say about 40% of these were somewhat of a surprise. One of the big things that I have loved about this community is the personal taste in music that we each share. We are all unique in our own kind of way. Excellent choices. ~ Rob/Boston
Paneeks1960 {Rob/Boston} you’re 100 percent right, Rob. You know, you were the first person to comment. Many years ago. You are the heart and soul of the vc kind sir.
Nice video and some interesting choices there. Not heard of some them The Chocolate Watch Band, The Association etc. so I have some listening to do. Not sure I could do a top 20 and definitely not in order, so well done. There are probably about 30 artists that would slip in and out of mine depending upon my mood etc.
Merely Chris that’s a great point. I was talking with A few people and realized I omitted some groups. I could imagine that friending in mood even that would change. Good call.
Well, I knew you'd be flashing some Tom Jones. I used to watch his variety TV show in the early 70s. Just picked me up a cool TJ record. But I ain't telling, I'm a showin'...hint = "She's a Lady".
Johnny Rivers? Stealing my thunder, huh? The Association - love 'em. Tom Jones should be in your Dots and Loops contest entry. As a matter of fact, I think Tom Jones should be in your back door entry...
Great video, Bo. This gives me a better insight into your overall taste in music, since you show so much garage/psych on your Instagram. We crossover a bunch here. Sam Cooke is in my Top 5. I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I’m more inclined to believe he was criminally taken from the world. I’ll leave it at that. I love all things Steve Winwood (with the exception of a couple of his 80s albums). Talking Heads. The Harrison, Frantz and Weymouth don’t get enough credit for their musicianship. Love’s debut is my favorite of theirs. And you can’t go wrong with Small Faces. Even though you didn’t show that album, Steve Marriott’s vocal on “Afterglow” is probably my favorite Brit-Rock vocal performance of the 60s and 70s. Great stuff and well done to keep it under 15 minutes! - Jon
The Digital Gramophone Jon afterglow has amazing vocals. I really dig the autumn stone too. I get carried away sometimes posting things on Instagram that are rare instead of what I really like. My mistake
Great list with lots variety there bo, nirvana get no love in vc but are one best bands ever, I havent tried small faces much yet but love the early humble pie, noce strumming bud🎳🥊

Pearls Before Swine such a beautiful song. My really like the first incarnation best. Dig those early r and b style numbers.

Earhead Six Never any mistakes, Bo. I enjoy seeing those albums, too.
Several of those bands would make my top 20.
33RPMVinyl it was harder than I thought it would be. Cutting the list down.

Vinyl Boy trigger lol. I’m pretty terrible on guitar. If you dig HP try the SF. You’ll dig it.
