Yes, it has electric drives on the tracks, so it is possible to run each track in different speed and direction. Makes it so easy to turn this heavy snow blower around!
Fill the shuffle on the loader with snow, and lower it. Get more traction on the front axle. And you keep the tractor more stable. Driving with the frontloader in upper position is a bad idea.

I’m surprised that you didn’t put those chain on your tractor before it snowed out it would be a lot easier to do that without having to kneel on the ground in the snow
That was an impressive amount of snow that you cleared from those storms. It is certainly hard to beat an inverted snowblower on a tractor for clearing snow. I've used a silicone spray lubricant on my regular sized snowblower to prevent heavy snow from sticking. I suspect doing the same on your inverted snowblower would work just as well. Do you not have a building to store your tractor in? Having to dig out your tractor each snow storm is certainly inconvenient.
@@InTheVise You dont get a sore neck from a front mounted snowblower eighter as long as its buildt for taking in snow from the front. So that you can drive forward while blowing.. We had one late 1970s in northern norway, but as you mention i often wishd we had more power than the SHILTER UT 5000 tractor we had that had ONLY 50 hp, spesially one spring where we used it to make road thru an around 50 meter wide and 10 meter high avalange, that blockd our village from the outer wourld and the people that regularly plowed refused to remove it bbefore spring, in case it came more avalanges. And had to remove it by working down from the top just taking 10-15 cm each trip and 1st low gear to not stall the engine. But yes you right, front mounted snowblowers are quite rare, most i have seen have been on say big wheel loaders and trains. Spesially on trains it makes sence with FRONT MOUNTED becouse its hard to drive thru say 1-2 meter snow with a train EVEN IF IT TOW A SNOWBLOWER! 😁
Sometimes you get a storm and it asks you a load of questions and poises problems, all of which you solved well!🤛 I noticed an instance or two where you forgot yourself and wished you had a bigger tractor. But as always, for småbruk people like us the rule of thumb is unless you pay 2x more than the whole farm cost you'll never have a big enough tractor. And then, with a bigger tractor it will devalue faster than the few hours you can put on it is worth You can get a cheap big tractor, but that means it's driven into the ground. So it's better to just get a smaller well maintained tractor, and a smaller but well-designed, appropriately sized, 2-stage snowblower that doesn't overwhelm the engine, and learn to use it properly and patiently 😊 It's always a learning experience. I don't like those chute guards either, no idea what they're for really, and never seen anyone else use them (except when they're new at snow removal), better to leave them off in case of wet snow underneath the fresh snow because that stuff will just "klæbb" on like glue and then you've got the ball rolling. Tilting the chute flap downwards is also a sure recipe for clogged chute, it adds more resistance and opportunity for the snow to clog up, I've seen a lot of pro's here in Tydal (a tad North of you I believe?) operate without the flap at all because even when fully open it's still a point of resistance. Finally, driving too fast, at too low a PTO rpm. I couldn't tell if your PTO has independently variable RPM, but I noticed you went faster than I do with a "Just in" Case 1290 & Similar size snowblower with that amount of snow. Personally I would have driven much slower than you did on the first day, because too much wet snow enters the auger housing and gets the volume and time to overcome the impeller & clog the chute. The way I look at it since I first started removing snow myself, at the end of the day it really is an ever-changing lesson in thermodynamics, friction, mass & volume. No two snowfalls, even at the same depth, is really ever the same, it's always different consistency and friction, new questions & problems. Speaking of thermodynamics, for rear window icing up I found that it's best to put the cabin heater on windshield defrosting, and put one of those fans with cigarette lighter 12v input on the headliner on the roof, above your head, to catch that hot air up top, pointed right at the rear window. Really does the trick! Hope I don't come off as negative, I really like your videos the way they are and the way they come, you've already put a lot of effort into them. No need to change a single thing on my behalf, this is your fun and experience to be had, and you've graciously invited us along for the ride 💪👌

😍 Awesome job. Nice equipment that gets the big job done. The tractor is a beast with those chains on. :-) Excellent video too. Some of the best shots in filming snow blower in action 🇳🇴🩷/🇺🇸
These are the most effective equipment imho. You just have to remember to spray the snow in the direction you are going to clear and not where you just have cleared up from snow. 😅
The problem is that when you shoot the snow on the snow you haven’t cleared yet, it will get to heavy for this tractor to clear. When you have this amounts of snow, sometimes you have to go twice anyway. And the wind can be a big challenge for the visibility when you decide the direction of the chute.
Biggest "problem" with this setup I see is that tractor has to plough through the snow before the blower clears it. Seems counterintuitive to me, but I guess it works up to a point.
@@AllajchaSibir It works when you live in a country that only use that setup, we head out early and often to keep the roads open so people can get to their jobs, get groceries and have access to emergencies. Heres another suggestion get some heavey rubber and attach it to the impellar tight to the wall and it will help with clogging and throw the snow farther it can be done with a snowblower too but there u can use an old mud flap lol
Do you think with a snowfall like this could you go without chains. Was thinking of getting an inverted snowblower. This could be a typical snowfall here for me in Canada. Thank you for the video and your advise.
Hi! As you see in the video, the tractor really struggles without the snow chains. This storm started with rain, so it was just ice under the snow. Really slippery conditions. And I drive in some steep hills as well. But if you only drive on flat surfaces, you could probably go without snow chains.

Blir nok litt mer jobb enn fryktet!!
A suggestion and a question. . soak the chains in oil off season then hang to dry under a bucket prevent rusting and the problems that come with it also have you thought so a snow blade on the front instead of the bucket .
That's just light surface rust, proper tractors weigh a lot so chains clean up really shiny on the snow after a few sessions anyway. The studs on the chains wear out looong before rust actually becomes an issue. And then with the oil you'll compromise your gloves too. Blades do come in handy, but with a blade that's all you can do. With a bucket you get way more options than I can fully detail here, you can tilt it whichever way to scrape, blade, and shovel, and pick up things that you have to move around, tilted all the way forward you can lift the front end of the tractor up or hook it under a slab to lift the rear end up, etc, you can even use it as a crane when you work on rooftops etc (us Norwegians do get creative). At a similar price to a good blade you get dozens more of areas of use and the added weight means you get more traction (depending how you lift/lower the loader) 😊
We had also problems last weekend with wet snow. Interesting to see how you managed to. I did buy new 9 mmTrygg kedjor for my old Valtra 6300 , and i did shortcut for front axle old ofa 11 mm wornout kedjor. TRYGGS are really easy to put on. Interesting to see how this thing works in Norway. Envy for your Honda blower, looks like the thing i need sometimes, but perhaps too rare. 🥶
Hondas and Yamahas are the things that you buy for lifetime and perhaps for your sons and daughters for heritage😅 I have 25 yrs old Honda Grasscutter, and electric aggregate, and Yamahas are outboard motor and Viking 2 snowscooter, still going strong both over30 years.😁
Hey from Canada 🇨🇦. Here in central Ontario, we just received 1.5 meters of snow are are busy digging out too. Me, I’m using an open station 62 horsepower two wheel drive Massey Ferguson 270 Diesel built in 1985 and a rear facing single auger snowblower.🥶🥶🥶🇨🇦
Also with the frontloader up you get more clearance in tight corners and weight is moved to rear wheels so you get more traction which counts for a lot when snowblower is in floatmode.
I have never understood those inverted snow blowers. They are of course first of all made for walkways / sidewalks. But in my opinion, driving on the snow and compacting it, before trying to remove it / blow it away is not so smart :)
Then you would need a much bigger and heavier tractor. And on some narrower roads, you have nowhere to put the snow with a blade or by ploughing when you get heavy wet snow in amounts in the video That’s when the snowblower has some big advantages! But a blade is much faster in ideal conditions and wider roads for sure!👍

@@nerothostv You'd be taxing the engine more than it can handle trying to get those amounts of snow with a smaller snowblower, so now you're going through smaller snowblowers and more expenses than just paying and crying once.
problem is the producers leave a gap inside by the impellers. If you fill that gap with rubber it will never clog up + it will throw the snow much much further.@@ToreDL87

Blir nok litt mer jobb enn fryktet!!
good job !
Thanks! It was challenging with the heavy wind!
Replenish your energy with some good homemade lefse now. Yum.
Ja, ble skikkelig vinter igjen her! Det er litt gøy å oppleve!
Lovely clip. How close to the ground does the snowblower scrape?
You can adjust it with the top link or the skid shoes
Greatings fra Finnland.
Hi! Yes the Honda rocks! Have saved me so many times!
Hondas and Yamahas are the things that you buy for lifetime and perhaps for your sons and daughters for heritage😅 I have 25 yrs old Honda Grasscutter, and electric aggregate, and Yamahas are outboard motor and Viking 2 snowscooter, still going strong both over30 years.😁
@@ohiampuja9246 yes, I can agree to that. Yamaha makes some really nice products! Top quality 👍
Oh wow! That’s a lot of snow. Stay safe!
If you expect snow: mount the snow chains before it snows on the evening before. Rookie mistake.
Why do you travel with the bucket raised in the air?
For visibility!
I enjoyed your video
@@lwkinne Thanks 😉
Also with the frontloader up you get more clearance in tight corners and weight is moved to rear wheels so you get more traction which counts for a lot when snowblower is in floatmode.
I have never understood those inverted snow blowers. They are of course first of all made for walkways / sidewalks. But in my opinion, driving on the snow and compacting it, before trying to remove it / blow it away is not so smart :)
Har du også snøentreprenad?
Then you would need a much bigger and heavier tractor. And on some narrower roads, you have nowhere to put the snow with a blade or by ploughing when you get heavy wet snow in amounts in the video That’s when the snowblower has some big advantages! But a blade is much faster in ideal conditions and wider roads for sure!👍
What brand is your small snowblower? That thing looks great
Honda
This looks like the old trima frontloader frame connection
Yes. And I use HMV quick Connect on the three point, same as Trima, so the attachments fits both rear and on the front loader.
@@InTheVise and the pto still fits 😅
You’ve had the same english teacher as the crew in «Vinterveiens helter»?
It seams like you are running a bit to low rpm on the blower.
Trying to run the pto at 540rpm.
Don't you have a shed or sheds for your equipment and tractors???😮😮😮
Just an little part of Norway
😊
I think I would park tractor closer to house 😊lol
Good tip 👍
What country are you in? Norway? 🤷♂️

👍👍👍
"Little"
Thats a 10000 dollar snowblower
Worth it!
@@InTheVise you can get the same effect by buying a impellerkit on a 1500$ blower btw 😅
The things you wish you would have done before the storm.
Nice to met you English please and thank you.
Toisilla on neljän tuhannen euron laite, että pääsee traktorin luo!
Korjaan 10 tuhannen euron
Worth it! That Honda is a beast! Saved me so many times, and a nice backup when the tractor breaks down!
@@InTheVise vaikuttaa tehokkaalta!
Probably easier to do in early fall
Easier said than done. Sometimes you need the tractor without the chains as well!!
At leastvits a diesel ! Not electric may not start
28 år. nye traktorn jo

It’s better an front blouwer or a back. Blouser with the trator working back. This way the Snow is never tap by the tracter well
