I used to live in Turkey and first got introduced to coffee in Istanbul. I loved how drinking Türk kahvesi was a social activity. I loved sitting in a cafe having great conversations over delicious coffee. Americans are used to everything coming in such big sizes but I really like the small size of the fincan because it forces you to slow down and really enjoy the coffee and to not be in a huge rush. I came back from Istanbul in 2013 and to this day, I still make Turkish coffee at home and share it with friends. I woke from home and my favorite part of the day is when I stop for a break and make Turkish coffee!
If you feel you need to this rituel in a couple of days, you have became almost Turkish 😂😂

I came to know that even Starbucks is now offering Turkish coffee at its select cafes in Turkiye.
That will be an interesting taste for the palate.
However, I bought the Starbucks Turkish coffee packet from the supermarket, and, it was nothing special.

Doc left me more confused about coffee. I’m new to coffee thing and everything is complex
Don't be! It is more about the way of drinking coffee. I'm from balkan, It is about sipping, almost slurping and taking a time. In some traditional "kafanas" in Bosnia if you "shot it" they will not allow you to pay. It is kinda offensive. They will tell you "if you don't know how to drink it you don't have to pay". so one take hour minimum!

Here in Greece we have single and double boiled coffee and as about the dosages of coffee and sugar plus the cream we have 8 types. We also drink it in Cafe (we can drink alcohol) while smoking,you can't do these because erdogan applied muslim rules everywhere and you don't dare to disobey them!
