Comprehensive video, well done. I’d have like to have seen a look at the adidas Modern Classic 80 in the Classic / Vintage / Old man traditionalist category but otherwise great video. I wouldn’t go back to spiked shoes personally, as you say driving to course and back, getting a drink etc in 1 shoe is a game changer. Glad it wasn’t FJ heavy as they tend to not have the best looking shoes outwith their traditional lineups
I have found the Puma ignite's to be one of the best spikeless golf shoes out there. The glove like setting for the foot in the shoe is so comfortable. The grip on the bottom is both comfortable and sufficient. The price - I think I got mine for $60 on Amazon...Probably the best shoe I have ever worn. At present I use Speith 2's for my spiked version...a little stiff, but a solid shoe...
I have 2 pairs of the 2022 Adidas Tour Alpha 360's. Haven't tried the 2024 versions. The 2022 are a great shoe for comfort and grip. nice wide in the toe area. I had a pair of FJ Premiums and found them too narrow, wound up selling them on ebay.
Great video but was expecting a stability and traction segment for those of us playing in wet conditions. FJ Tour Alpha has been my go to so far but would love alternatives... cheers
Thanks for your comment! As for best in class in stability and traction from the new shoes this year, the Under Armour Drive Pro is the stand out. Adi Tour360 and Nike Victory 3 just behind. If you want spikeless stability then I’d point you in the direction of Under Armour again, they really impressed me. Appreciate the comment and I’ll look to include this as a stand alone category next year.
Yep! I have them in them in navy with a sporty sneaker look. They are so comfortable and can even wear them out for dinner at the club if you forget a decent leather upper sneaker or oxford. Can't do that with my Pumas or Adidas!
I bought a pair of G4 Galivan2r the moment I saw them. I cannot explain the feeling I get putting these on. They are my favourite golf shoes ever. Actually limiting the times I wear them as I don't want to wear them out. I want them to last forever 🙂
Just got mine with the BOA system after my 15 year old 360’s that felt like slippers and still looked great just started to show their age on the back heel. Can’t be happier. Superb looking and again fit. You won’t be disappointed
I managed to get the Adidas SG2s spikeless for £30 as they were on sale i haven’t tried them yet but come the summer I will be wearing them all the season cant wait to try them PS another pair of spikeles shoe I have is the Puma fusion pro so comfortable and offers a decent amount of grip both are worth the money
Did you try the adidas retrocross 24? The previous model was the most comfortable golf shoe I’ve ever worn, but I’ve read that the new version is a bit bigger and boxier feeling.
I’ve become a big fan of G/Fore over the past year. Always wore Footjoys previously. The MG4+ and MG4X2s are my favorites. Can go straight from the course to the store and look and feel good doing it.
Some months ago, I bought a pair of Adidas 2023 Code Chaos shoes on a whim. I'd been wearing FJs but found them underwhelming but these Adidas have really good comfort and - most importantly - excellent arch support. I've seen that the new 2024s have a different style so I bought a backup pair of the 2023s as I always have a primary and a backup pair. The insoles seem to be the key, they have good arches unlike most shoes where you need to buy better insoles before playing. IMO, Adidas has always had superior basketball shoes and these, for me, are superior golf shoes. (Let me note, I'm 74 and my days of playground or Y league basketball are WAY in the past so golf is all I really have left.)
Get them while they are still on sale I bought mine online from sports direct and got them for £30 plus delivery which was 5 quid can’t wait to try my pair this season
Highly recommended. Get the leather ones and not the gray mesh ones. The grays mesh are my range beaters, they are cheaper but dont even feel like the same shore as my white and green leather ones.
I bought a pair of Adidas Ultraboost. Best shoe I have ever worn. It’s like a running shoe for golf. They are abit expensive but I got mine at half price. If you walk it is unreal the comfort. This is the third pair of golf shoes I have bought in 14 months. I like my Footjoy ProSL for stability but I will not walk the course in them. The Ultraboost are dew resistant but definitely not for a rain day. If you play in a setting like the Great Brittain have a second pair for bad weather which is common.
Agreed! I’ve got a pair that I probably wear more off course than on it. For me they’re a little too unstable to play a competitive 18 holes in, but perfect for a quick evening 9 in the sun.
The Sketchers shoes I tried a pair last week and they were really low in the toe area. It felt uncomfortable up there. Not sure if it was just that they run a bit small and a half size larger would fix it or not.
Pretty much the exact same as the standard laced one I featured here. Same outsole, same heel build and arch support, just that different lacing which I’ve not been able to try yet!
Custer moneymaker Luxe - top notch comfort - cool & simple look at great price for 78 pounds . Passed UK wet winter test hands down best value all round . Ecco leather not durable enough for UK links tracks . Scuffs up badly. Great review 👍
How about shoes that are the best soul comfort on your feet and support , preventing planta fasciitis ? . , i suppose time will tell... A BIG problem for golfers...
The Cuater Moneymaker Luxe and the Ringer are the most comfy golf shoes I’ve ever worn. As soon as you put your foot in them it feels like nothing else. They need a mention in the list in future. The Adidas golf shoes I’ve had recently were really poor quality and it has put me off the brand now.
I won’t buy a golf shoe unless it’s guaranteed to be waterproof for at least 2 years. So it would be great to o add waterproof shoes as a stand-alone category next year. Or, at least mention which shoes are waterproof in your shout outs please. Cheers
Fair point, so many of them are fully waterproof nowadays it’s almost not worth mentioning! In the video, the only shoe I featured that isn’t fully waterproof is the True All Day Knit 3.
I kill golf shoes and having had multiple pairs of footjoy/nike/adidas/puma/echo i know wear payntr and there fantastic the most comfortable and more importantly the most stable shoes I have tried
Bro, popping up the middle at 4:58 is not how you fix a pitch mark. You are destroying the grass. Think of the grass like hair growing up. You want to style it by pushing in the sides, not popping up the middle.
Why would you think he's pronouncing it correctly? Adidas is German, not British. And he mispronounces Nike and doesn't know how to fix a pitch mark. Not the guru for you.
Ecco was the most hated shoe I ever owned. Not comfortable, little width support, and the worst money I have spent on golf. Adidas and higher end Footnoys have always felt comfotable and held up well. I have finally went away from soft spikes. I want something I can wear to the course, during the round, and meet for lunch after until I get home. I feel like spikes are on the way out.
Why are all golf videos done by British chaps?? Footjoy still reins king, but the other brands are great and pushing the edge in style and technology. I don't think Adidas has hit the mark style wise. Puma, Nike, Ecco, UnderArmour and even Cole Haan look great!
What a load of crap. No footjoy premiers.!!! Do you not look at how many tour players wear them. Tiger wore them when he came back from injury. That says everything
why are all young golfers wearing those tight at the ankle pants!! looks horribly uncomfortable. reminds me of the pants that gay guys wore in the early 2000's. bring back what the Pro's actually use, the metal spikes.
If you got to 10:56 in the video before jumping to the comments, you’ll see the new Ecco LT1 was crowned our most comfortable shoe of 2024! Fair point on ASICS and Mizuno models though, we’ll look to include them next year for a proper review 🤝🏻
Awesome vid here. I’m rolling with Nike tw13 and Fj traditions blucher this season.

Any review on Olukai golf shoes? I've heard nothing but great things about them in comfort and style

Ecco Golf shoes……NO Comparison.👍

Which model of Ecco please?
I bought a pair of G4 Galivan2r the moment I saw them. I cannot explain the feeling I get putting these on. They are my favourite golf shoes ever. Actually limiting the times I wear them as I don't want to wear them out. I want them to last forever 🙂
Joke’s on you. Glue dries up eventually so enjoy those while theyre all pretty
I have had all the Footjoy, ECCO and just bought the Squairz and love them so I bought another pair. $149 can’t beat it.
I have last years Ecco's and love em. I'll get the Tour 360 24 on Tuesday. Cheers!
The timing couldn't have been better for this video, I have to get a new pair for the season and the tour 360 it is, Thanks guys
Just got mine with the BOA system after my 15 year old 360’s that felt like slippers and still looked great just started to show their age on the back heel. Can’t be happier. Superb looking and again fit. You won’t be disappointed
Did you test how waterproof they are ? love my FJ Hyperflex .. zero water in on wet grass .. super stable .

Gfore golf shoes are next level in quality and feel and a big shout out to the Footjoy original leather brogues
I’ve become a big fan of G/Fore over the past year. Always wore Footjoys previously. The MG4+ and MG4X2s are my favorites. Can go straight from the course to the store and look and feel good doing it.
On the Adidas Tour 360 (laced or BOA), is the upper made from synthetic leather?
After the winter we've just had, would love to have seen a waterproof category
Ecco
What about the Puma GS-X Efekt Golf Shoes? Definitely one of, if not, the best looking?
Some months ago, I bought a pair of Adidas 2023 Code Chaos shoes on a whim. Those adidas S2Gs are on my radar for this summer 👀
Get them while they are still on sale I bought mine online from sports direct and got them for £30 plus delivery which was 5 quid can’t wait to try my pair this season

Are they a narrow or wide fitting shoe ?
@@GOLFADDICT65 it’s a wide fitting shoe
@@GOLFADDICT65wide, im a 15 but 14 in Adidas.
Got a pair of Sketchers Slip ins for bad weather, good weather some UA Phantom’s both very comfy and do the job!

@@DanielParker1997 True about stability. The soft sole tends to roll. But when walking they are the best.
For me the Under Armour Drive Pro is the winner. The most stable shoe i ever used !
Asics Gel Kayano....have them in 4 different colors....comfortable and hold up well!
Intrigued on thoughts on the NoBull shoes as well - bit like the True and GFore brand in terms of aiming at they hybrid/funky market but look great
Assuming this was filmed before the release of the Nike Infinity Tour 2?
What’s the name of the Nike that was on the desk in the spikeless category?
That’s the Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 G. My review is on the Golf Monthly website now if you want to check it out.
No ECCO shoes tested ?
How could you leave the best golf shoe on the market the G4 golf shoes!! The quality is amazing!!
The Sketchers shoes I tried a pair last week and they were really low in the toe area. It felt uncomfortable up there. Not sure if it was just that they run a bit small and a half size larger would fix it or not.
Yep I’ve found my normal size 8 is a little tight on the new Skechers, should’ve mentioned this in the vid!
@@DanielParker1997 thanks for the reply! Maybe I'll try a half size larger then.
Definitely should give you that bit of extra room whilst still fitting well 👌🏻
whats your opinion on ecco golf shoes
The Biom C4 from 2022 is still my all time favourite golf shoe. The new LT1 is undeniably very comfortable but I just don’t quite dig the looks
I've got those G4s - love em 🎉👟
Shame you didn’t include the Adidas Tour 360 BOA spiked shoe!?

hyperflex carbon?
How about shoes that are the best soul comfort on your feet and support , preventing planta fasciitis ? . , i suppose time will tell...
A BIG problem for golfers...
ASICs Kayano golf shoes... 💯 the best on the market IMO...
How about Boxto? Soooo swish. Soooo comfortable!
No Sqairz shoes?!? I have used many different golf shoes. IMO, Sqairz shoes are by far the best for me. Too bad they weren’t considered in your video.
It may be my feet - but my comfort favourite is and remains ECCO!
The performance for price of Adidas is hard to beat. Can buy 2 pairs of SG2 for the price of 1 of some of these pairs. Durable as well!
I supinate (under pronation) so i need a neutral shoe, of the category winners which ones are neutral...No support.
It would be good if th manufacturer’s made ladies golf shoes over a size 8.5 as standard option
No FJ Premier series??
Didn’t have a sample pair with me on the day. Briefly mentioned them but it goes without saying they’re top class shoes, in my opinion!
Best golf shoe is the Nike Pegasus trail 4 goretex running shoe 😁👍
Did not mention mygolfspy best spikless shoe Ecco LT1
I named it the most comfortable shoe I’ve tested this year in the comfort part of the video 👍🏻
The tour 360 blister shoe 😂
The same with under armour bought a pair and got blisters from.heel rub stopped wearing them after 3 rounds

It’s a travesty that FJ don’t do the Pro SL anymore. That was the ultimate golf shoe!!!!
Cant believe no Skechers the lightest and most comfortable shoe ever and well priced
Payntr are bad for me. Poor sizing options and give me heel blisters when walking 18 holes.
What about Squarz
sounds greqt but bet you can‘t get any greater than a size 12/47. 😢
Cole Haan started making some good looking golf shoes
Agreed! I included the ZeroGrand Overtake last year
So your “shoe expert” doesn’t think footjoy had a new premier for 2024. I think you will find the premier field lx WAS a new shoe for this yr
Good point, well made. A very good looking shoe too
FJ Traditions or FJ Premiere.
what about SQAIRZ
Gallivan 2r all day the 🐐 and its not even close
Idk why everyone loves Ecco. I have a size 12, barely worn if anyone is interested.
Nike pronounced as Nigh-Kee not Nayk. Thanks for review. Looking to replace my old Ecco
Hey, Sqairz will add 30 yards distance to your tee shot. ROF!😂
Nice F1 reference on the FJ shoes. When you explained it I instantly understood what you were saying hahaha #F1fan

And how many of them come in a UK 13/14 size ? Absolutely none of them !
Sg21?
You forgot to show Lambda Golf Shoes.
Perhaps the best Golf shoes you can have.
No Skechers as well. What the hell
How is it none of the uk reviewers can pronounce Nike correctly?
FJ hyper flex carbon all the way
Footjoy is the best.
Adidas: rips by the sole
Nike: crumbles and not waterproof
All else: hype
Pro Adapt Deltas look way better than the Phantom Cats. Phantom Cats lame af

Synthetic all the way for waterproofing and comfort. Leather isn’t good for golf shoes IMO.

Poor choices. .. no.Payntr .... The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned ....
You call yourself a show geek but you pronounce Nike wrong?
Did You say 'Pew Ma'?
Olukai are the best

I was in love with the new Footjoy Hyperflex. And then I saw Bryson wearing them. So set them on fire and threw them in the bin.

NEVER buy any FJ shoes, feet killers literally. I bought them now trashed after couple of rounds

Horrendous shouts for nearly every categroy
