Tender & Juicy BEEF and ONION Stir Fry | Dinner Ready in 15 Minutes

  • Beef and Onion Stir Fry Recipe.
    2 lb of steak
    2 tbsp oil
    1 tsp of sesame oil
    2 tsp dark soy sauce
    2 tsp soy sauce
    1 tsp oyster sauce
    1 tsp baking soda
    4 tsp of corn starch
    4 cloves of garlic
    2 stalks of spring onion
    ½ onion
    For frying beef:
    3 tbsp oil
    2 tsp dark soy sauce
    2 tsp soy sauce
    1 tsp oyster sauce
    2 tsp of rice wine vinegar (I used Chinkiang Vinegar)
    1/3 cup water
    Chop onion, spring onion, garlic and set aside.
    In a medium bowl, add the steak, baking soda, cornstarch, oil, sesame oil, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce and soy sauce. Mix until the liquid has been absorbed and set aside to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
    Saute garlic, onions, and spring onions until translucent, then remove and set aside.
    In a frying pan over medium/high heat. Add 3 tablespoons of oil and spread the beef in a single layer. Sear the meat for 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
    Add water, rice wine vinegar, and dark soy sauce and stir-fry another 60-90 seconds.
    Add the sautéed garlic, spring onion, and onion back to the frying pan and sauté for another 1 - 2 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
