The way he interact with everyone around him, how he carries himself with grace and elegance and at the same time can be very playful and childlike makes him shine even more. Slowly this song became my favourite version of them all, knowing Freddie loved opera I'd like to think he would have really liked this version. As far as I know, this was the first rock song that he ever sang so he kinda was exploring new territories here (another example out of his element is Screaming Idol Hits, a pop song where he rap suprisingly great) I am glad people gave you some background info cause it makes your analysis much more interesting and precise. On your "Opera 2" reaction, you mentioned the judges and the audience. The people you probably thought were judges are the other competitors watching from backstage. The 500 Chinese members of the audience vote for their top 3 favourite performances of each episode. The lowest score is voted off each week, and is replaced by a new singer. So Dimash probably wouldn't lose any points for bad English pronunciation, but the next week he had to sing in Mandarin for the first time, so that was stressful. "Autumn Strong" is more about conveying emotion than showing off his range, so knowing the story behind it factors into that.

Thanks! First time in my life I am a fan of someone, and I am 50! Dimash blowed my mind and there is a lot to know about him, his amazing talents and personality. As a performer I especially love "sinful passion", "ogni pietra" (new wave 2019 version), "passione", and SOS from the Slavic Bazar. But my favourite song on earth is "know " (New wave, 2019), it takes me away from the world, but not everybody loves it. Just subscribed in the hope to see more reactions to Dimash. :)
I just found you today. What a journey, what a trip you have embarked on! I see this is your third reaction to him. I know everyone is probably telling you this, but you have NO idea what this man can do! Sometimes I wonder, even after last week's new song, if we as of yet have any idea what he can do. He will make your head spin with his incredible interpretations of songs and his emotional performances. But something else we Dears love about him is his character, his outstanding love and respect for people of all ages, his willingness to give of himself, his extreme work ethic...the list goes on and on. He still takes voice lessons as often as he can. It's hampered somewhat because he travels and performs so incredibly often, but he has said in an interview recently that he practices three hours a day. I'm looking forward to this journey with you. When his mother performed when he was very young (2 yrs. old, etc.) he would run up on the stage when she took her bow. Also, he has been dreaming of being on the stage since he was little. He used to draw pictures of cassettes, speakers, instruments, stages, etc. instead of cars, animals, etc. like the other kids. Anyway, this is what I've read. It's not like I was there. ha ha!

Hi Andy...I am big fan of Dimash for last 2,5 years and following him from Singer 2017 and I watched every single reaction on him so I'm always so excited and happy when someone new come up and get Dimashified 😉😂😂 I've watched all your reactions and subscribed your channel so I can follow you on this amazing Dimash jurney 😊 Dimash is incredible in every aspect, not just as a singer but as a amazing human been...he is educated, well mannered, respectfull and humble. You will see that in future videos and that is another reason why we love him so much. Beside that he has beautiful relationship with his Dears like I've never seen before from other singers. We also call him an angel because he has angelic voice and golden heart. He did a lot of great things beside singing, made lots of donations to ones in need and healed many people just by singing (that's proved). You do realize that these shows are from 2 1/2 years ago....Go to his TH-cam channel and you can get an idea of what you have been missing...concerts, galas, etc...OSTs from movies, video games and even a tv drama....Yes, this was a rock song...hence rock vocals....Dimash mixes many genres in a song.....It is called Popera.....or as Dimash says neo-classical......Dimash often includes phrases from classical to folk, to pop, r and b...etc, etc......so never expect a song from Dimash to fit into any given mold....It's just Dimash....
Liked and subscribed. I think you do a good job. As others have mentioned please use Gloria Wu you tube channel for ep 4 and 8. There is no worry about copyright strikes. She is a wonderful dear. You really need the back story for ep 4, Autumn Strong, and ep 8 Daybreak (Dimash is sick in this episode and gets throat injections) Be sure subtitles are on. Then you have Uptown Funk for ep5. Dimash did not score well that week and then had to go all out for Ep6, Adagio.

I believe the pronunciation of his name is "Dee-Mah-Sh" (one word). Also, he said in an interview that he likes to learn the meaning of the words that he's singing, not just phonetically, but it's hard when you have a week (or less) to learn it. If you are going through Singer, the next song is "Late Autumn".
Its borderline unfair. When I'm at my best I can dance around the 5th and 6th octave almost as well a Dimash, but, much like Geoff Tate before him, I can hardly get within spitting distance of their low ends, let alone have the warmth and fullness they do on those pitches.

Just to copy the section relevant from the bulk comment the other day, also I will paste the link that has lyrics but is not messed with in terms of audio quality or tempo Ep4 Late Autumn- more ballady song with lots of dynamic control. I suggest watching the official episode the listen to the song as the Gloria Wu version with the story has a altered sound, the tempo is different and his voice sounds flattened dynamically due to this- pretty sure it was done for copyright protection when this was an issue when they first aired. In the behind the scenes Dimash explains it's his first attempt at a Chinese song and he's very concerned they won't understand him due to accent. The background of it is that an actress who was born and raised in China but had Japanese parents was adored by he Chinese public and gained much success as an actress. Then WW2 hit and after the war concluded her true family history was exposed, those whp had adored her now scorned her and she was deported to Japan. It took many years for her to be able to return and in the meantime she left all she knew and those she cared for behind. The song lyrics speak of emotions and farewells being like the changing leaves of Autumn, they speak of not only her loss but also the desperation of not being able to comfort those who you left behind and wondering how they are without you.

Hi Andy...I am big fan of Dimash for last 2,5 years and following him from Singer 2017 and I watched every single reaction on him so I'm always so excited and happy when someone new come up and get Dimashified 😉😂😂 I've watched all your reactions and subscribed your channel so I can follow you on this amazing Dimash jurney 😊 Dimash is incredible in every aspect, not just as a singer but as a amazing human been...he is educated, well mannered, respectfull and humble. You will see that in future videos and that is another reason why we love him so much. Beside that he has beautiful relationship with his Dears like I've never seen before from other singers. We also call him an angel because he has angelic voice and golden heart. He did a lot of great things beside singing, made lots of donations to ones in need and healed many people just by singing (that's proved). He united people from all over the world no matter what religion or nationality they are and that is something unique. I'm so happy to see new Dear and I can only say welcome to Dimashland 😊😍His next performance on Singer 2017 is Autumn late and I strongly recomend you to watch it on Gloria Wu channel because she made a story behinde the song so thisis important for you to understand the song and to get know Dimash better. I haven't watched these older "Singer" performances in awhile and it really is evident how much he has matured since then. His voice now is deep, dark and rich now. He only gets better!

You do realize that these shows are from 2 1/2 years ago....Go to his TH-cam channel and you can get an idea of what you have been missing...concerts, galas, etc...OSTs from movies, video games and even a tv drama....Yes, this was a rock song...hence rock vocals....Dimash mixes many genres in a song.....It is called Popera.....or as Dimash says neo-classical......Dimash often includes phrases from classical to folk, to pop, r and b...etc, etc......so never expect a song from Dimash to fit into any given mold....It's just Dimash....

Liked and subscribed. I think you do a good job. As others have mentioned please use Gloria Wu you tube channel for ep 4 and 8. There is no worry about copyright strikes. She is a wonderful dear. You really need the back story for ep 4, Autumn Strong, and ep 8 Daybreak (Dimash is sick in this episode and gets throat injections) Be sure subtitles are on. Then you have Uptown Funk for ep5. Dimash did not score well that week and then had to go all out for Ep6, Adagio.

I believe the pronunciation of his name is "Dee-Mah-Sh" (one word). Also, he said in an interview that he likes to learn the meaning of the words that he's singing, not just phonetically, but it's hard when you have a week (or less) to learn it. If you are going through Singer, the next song is "Late Autumn".

Its borderline unfair. When I'm at my best I can dance around the 5th and 6th octave almost as well a Dimash, but, much like Geoff Tate before him, I can hardly get within spitting distance of their low ends, let alone have the warmth and fullness they do on those pitches.

Just to copy the section relevant from the bulk comment the other day, also I will paste the link that has lyrics but is not messed with in terms of audio quality or tempo Ep4 Late Autumn- more ballady song with lots of dynamic control. I suggest watching the official episode the listen to the song as the Gloria Wu version with the story has a altered sound, the tempo is different and his voice sounds flattened dynamically due to this- pretty sure it was done for copyright protection when this was an issue when they first aired. In the behind the scenes Dimash explains it's his first attempt at a Chinese song and he's very concerned they won't understand him due to accent. The background of it is that an actress who was born and raised in China but had Japanese parents was adored by he Chinese public and gained much success as an actress. Then WW2 hit and after the war concluded her true family history was exposed, those whp had adored her now scorned her and she was deported to Japan. It took many years for her to be able to return and in the meantime she left all she knew and those she cared for behind. The song lyrics speak of emotions and farewells being like the changing leaves of Autumn, they speak of not only her loss but also the desperation of not being able to comfort those who you left behind and wondering how they are without you.

Dimash is magical....he has that secret ingredient that all performers strive for (and seldom achieve). Let's hope he carries on in this vein.
