Germany was severely grieved after the conclusion of WWI. And it can be argued unjustly so. Germany did not start WWI, after all. However, it suffered crippling sanctions and unjust treatment. There was a time where French troops would march into German towns and steal goods from German stores in the name of "war reparations" while abusing the local population. In all, the treaty of Versaillis and the treatment of the German people created individuals like Adolf Hitler. The countries who forced the treaty upon Germany caused a ripple effect that would see the whole of Europe thrown into another world war.

These people of whom we speak of did enact usury on the German people after WW 1. Doesn't justify genocide, however if a group of people denied German children and women basic needs like food. That could lead to those young boys growing up seeing their mothers cry and suffer throughout their childhood and transform them into resentful young men perfect for war.

@@StephanBakun Happy people are less likely to hate.
Successful demagogues like Hitler use hate to build support from LARGE numbers of people.
Hate is ALWAYS based in fear.
      So what creates fear?
      Fear of the "other".
Others are taking my liberty, my wealth, my religion, my social status, my political power, etc.
Those fears usually don't happen in a vacuum. The fears are usually valid, but the demagogue exaggerates the severity.
And the problems generating those fears are almost always the result of someone wealthier or more powerful taking advantage of everyone else.
Moral of the story: stop the predatory behavior of the rich and powerful BEFORE their actions create demagogues.

When I was in grade 6, a classmate's Grandmother, who was a German national, gave a talk to our class about Germany during WWII. Her story about this man was a true eye opener. Even during the worse days near the end of the war when she and her infant daughter were kept in a special camp, he would stop by and give one of those speeches (Pep Talk) and electrify the crowd... (even when they could hear the bombs falling). They would absolutely do anything for him.

There was a group financing Churchill and bribing him to push for war in the UK parliament for years and years
You don't even need to ask what ethnicity that group was, you already know.

I am an 80 year old englishman living in the US. I have been reading many books by people that knew Hitler. " I Was Hitlers Friend "... etc, by his pilot, his drivers...
I knew Adolf Galland, the Commander of the Luftwaffe ( 1984), and others. Why do people think these speeches are just about jews ? In Hitlers own words, he DID NOT hate jews, but Germans did, and worked that into some speeches. The genocide was carried out by the early 1930 NSDAP thugs, promoted into these positions.
Many field officers ( 33 of Jewish descent and over the rank of colonel) loved Hitler.
In his own words in Mein Kampf, he explains National Socialism.." national is our veterans. Our farmers...our people who built this land...by Socialism, well, we are not socialist..but we shall get their votes. I mean we are a SOCIAL people. We are friendly to each other. We support each other ".
The genocide does not match that done by the US to Native Americans in the 80 years prior to ww2 ( 8 million) excuding under Presidents Carter and Ford. BLack Americans medical experiments, and race laws.

his comments at around 4:15 about the riches of Germany being stripped was the after effects of ww1 that led to mass poverty and starvation in the German population. Its sad to say , Hitler was a result of punitive actions pushed on Germany as their role as an antagonist in ww1. Its those conditions that led people to even consider what he had to say. A great empire reduced to poverty and death , the people were reluctant at first but when they saw the results he brought for the German state , were more than happy to let the mad man do his thing.

It is interesting to me, in that it makes me realize how little I know about what Hitler ACTUALLY said, what his stated concerns were. All I really know is what he DID, but at least in my life experience, we are never really told why he did it. In fact, when the subject of antisemitism comes up, I often joke "what EXACTLY are these people mad at the jews for? being good with money? I can't think of any historical moments where they have caused some big injustice..."
And then because it doesn't actually matter to my day to day concerns, I never look into it. :) Which is not to say there's something I could find out that would make what he did make sense... but I've gotta throw myself under the bus and chuckle about my own blind spots here.

My grandmother was born after WW1 and she would tell us stories of how they were so poor that they would eat potatoes and water for 3 meals a day. The supposed 3 victors of WW1 stripped Germany of all of its resources and caused the Duetch mark to be worth nothing. This was a disturbed man and I'm not a fan either, but what else could you expect from a man who was a trench runner in ww1 and then was sent to prison for trying to revolt against the Weimar Government which was installed by the victories and was in his mind the true traitors to his country. Hitler was not trying to conquer the world he was trying to light it on fire so he could watch it burn.

The real secret is not a lot separates communism and fascism, they are all socialism at their core. We all know these same ideas have been being pushed in the United States, by both big political parties. It's not the job of government to provide these things and when you try to have government do it, it gains too much power and uses it on its own citizens and neighboring countries. We all thought that could never happen in a free country like ours, while not even bothering with what the dictator was talking about. See how easy it is to get fooled by socialism?
