The story is that some Gaster (not Undertale’s) allowed Chara to travel the multiverse for murderousness and have them a Delete button, but they have to record data if the places they go. They didn’t record data, so Gaster made a simulation to have them fight their hardest challenges. However, there is no reason as to why Insanity would join Phase 2 instead of Phase 1, since he’s undoubtedly stronger than Horror and Killer. While making Chara suffer, he took away their use of the Delete button. But he looked away for 1 second and they deleted Horror. He came back and stopped the use for any others. He then decided to fuse the 4, and Satsujin has a shared conscious between Dust and the corruptive artificial DT of Insanity. Phase 3 is the DT, 4 and 5 are Dust (artificial DT prevents melting), and 6 would be the DT doing the gimmick of resurrecting (Satsujin became around twice as powerful). Phase 7 might’ve been cancelled because it could’ve been another amalgamate phase, which means the only phase the DT would’ve been in charge was Phase 3. Also, it’s implied that Chara had to fight Satsujin for 5 days! I’m guessing the bonus phase is Chara fighting the Gaster. This info comes from Touken Kamui’s alternate channel. But since Phase 2 onward doesn’t make sense, here’s another take. Nightmare didn’t like how emotions were being killed, so he sent his slaves. After Horror got deleted, Dust used Asgore’s trident to break the button and absorbed Horror’s soul. Nightmare replaced him. Chara gained so much DT they fell into the void. After Killer and Insanity died, Dust absorbed their DT, and falls into the void too. After Satsujin dies, Chara moves on to Gaster, who would also be chilling in the void. They have no reason to attack the other Gaster this time. Nightmare can’t send in other slaves because he and Dream can’t enter the void. As for the story in UTOC, Glitch made a scenario to help stop a Chara (not the same as the canon MTT Chara), and helped Satsujin by giving more DT, but it wasn’t enough, so Satsujin is just a part of Glitch’s team, but the Chara is still around, so there’s 3 sides in UTOC, the other being Core’s team with Ink and Graphite.
