Best video pc-gamer. The switch version looks amazing
In the fighting scene check the want basic attack animation on switch and Deck. The Switch animations are far better. This is simply because of optimization. Also Switch has better lighting.
I have both the Deck and Switch Lite. I love handhelds. I went with the Switch version for Hogwarts Legacy
The switch animations are not better at all. He just has the effects settings turned down. Those don’t have much effect on performance.
The switch version is a downgrade in every way.
I have this game on both Steam deck and switch. I only got the switch port for the concept of it being on switch. It is not a good way to play.

Nobody claims that. but switch version is better if it's portability you need. the battery lasts 2-3 times longer than the deck. also the deck's framerate stutters later in the openworld.

I would'd rather buy it from Steam as I will be able to run it in a newer or different hardware which will render it better. Can you do the same with the Switch version? I guess no.

look at 3:45 switch version looks like total ***, team did a good job btw the hardware is just limited, ppl can't really do impossible ports, you can't run a game like planetside 2 on switch, even if the game is like five years older than the console

Looks washed out but decent enough for something that struggle to run their own games at 30fps.
being able to play on the pc being maxed out and then able to take it on the go with the Steam deck is one of the best things about the Steam deck. i hate having to Re-do Stuff in games just to enjoy it portable. Also being able to Steam it to the steam deck when i'm at home to get pretty much maxed hogwarts on the Steam deck at home on my couch while watching a movie with the wife is great also.
