I'm guessing Carter was in a similar situation as Dillion and Lucas when he was younger before he was brainwashed by Declan. You really see his expression change when Dillion is telling him off, he knows deep down that Dillion is right but he can't get over his own shame and the nonsense he had forced on him.
One thing that confuses me about this storyline is how desperate Carter is for Dillon to be with Freya, even after he realizes that 1) Dillon is openly bisexual and 2) Lucas's feelings for Dillon are reciprocated. It seems like he cares more about keeping the two boys apart than he cares about his own daughter.

I hope Dillon reports everything to someone who will put a stop to this stupidity and fire Carter. He should never be is leadership position or involved in any group with young people. Then get poor Lucas some counseling and support.
I hope Dillon exposes Carter. Carter has basically confessed everything to him, so it will be odd if Dillon doesn't investigate.

I really want them together. This is so hard to watch some days. How long can Dillon take this type of hatred from Lucas? And now that he’s finally figured out his true feelings for Lucas and broken off with Freya no less! 😢 this conversation therapy is an important storyline but it’s very hard to see how quickly it’s changed Lucas and how it’s just made even his friendship with Dillon fall apart. It’s heartbreaking 💔 Carter & Declan need to be stopped. I don’t care about any chemistry Carter and John Paul have - Carter sadly is a lost cause. He doesn’t know anything besides self hatred his entire life and now he’s sitting by and doing it to another innocent person. When the abused then abuse. Oh my OA Dillon’s really got a caring heart and I can tell deep down Lucas feels the exact same way and the look on Carter’s face he can tell deep down he’s starting to feel guilty (even though this is all acting I know it’s hard on the actor himself) still this storyline is getting out of hand. I feel sorry for Carter and I know what you’re all thinking “Carter’s vile”, “Carter’s a psycho”, “Carter needs to be arrested” blah blah blah but you all realize that he too is a victim in this as much as Lucas is and I am hoping Ste will actually find out about what Carter’s doing to Lucas or John Paul and find a way to shut this all down.
