Really great video, thank you 💖

    STEP 7: 3 triple crochet
    STEP 8: Chain 2
STEP 9: Tighten everything and make circle as small as you can
STEP 10: Insert hook into magic circle and slip stitch
    Round 2
STEP 1: single crochet into first gap (no yarn over when inserted)
STEP 2: 2 half double into same space (yarn over, insert hook, yarn over pull through, yarn over pull through all (3)
STEP 3: 3 half double into the next chain space along
STEP 4: 2 half double into the next chain space along
STEP 5: 1 half double into the next chain space

I know I have said this before but you are a fantastic teacher, you speak clearly and go slow enough that a person can actually understand the process. I have tried to watch others just out of curiosity and they go too fast and are very confusing, I am so happy for your wonderful tutorials! Thank you so much

That is the first time the "magic circle" made sense to me and it worked! Thank you. I made the heart for a hat I made for my grandgirl. It's a teensy bit wonky but it was a first try and I ran out of time to redo it. It was really fun and she just loves it.

Today was the first video of yours that I have seen & today watching this heart video I finally learned to do a magic circle. I have been crocheting for 27 years & I can read & understand the patterns. I am a senior & I love how U go slow enough so, I can write down the pattern as U go. I am computer illiterate so, I don't know where to go to see the written pattern. I don't see the link on my iPad. I am going to stay linked to U since U are a wonderful teacher. Thanks so much.

  • @robynbarnes1535

Your tutorial is perfectly paced for beginners and your explanations are clear and simple to follow. You have a true teaching gift - thank you! I did encounter one mistake which made it a bit difficult (until I worked it out)... at approx. 6:40 you say we're going to do "4 treble stitches", and this is reflected in the subtitles. However, you actually do 3 trebles which is correct for the pattern. I was following the audio so doing 4 trebles made it lopsided and unable to complete at the time. This is by no means a criticism but simply some feedback from a very happily satisfied follower! Thanks!!😀

This is a fab tutorial, thank you. Do you have a tutorial to do another round? I'd like to make bigger hearts!

You can make the hearts bigger by going up a hook size or two, that way you won't have to work any extra rounds 😊

I'm really enjoying watching your vids :) it's helping me get used to the different stitches!
I've just crocheted this heart and it has turned out soo nice!!! I now want to crochet some more, but create some heart bunting but making the hearts bigger... Is this easy to do and if so, how do I do it?
    Thanks :)

Quick question - Towards the end of the first round (06.40) you say that you are going to do 4 (FOUR) Double Trebles, but you go on to do 3,then Chain 2... Just wondering is it 3 or 4 I should be doing, as did it with 4 and then my round 2 was out.... Love all your tutorials, so easy to follow, my crocheting is coming on leaps and bounds thanks to you, and I'm recommending you to all my friends :)

+Orlala I noticed the same, but in the written pattern it says to do 3 Double Trebles and then chain 2.

I noticed that too! It's an error.

Love your easy detailed paces in teaching this art. I am confused at time point 15:14 where you ask us to insert into one of the chain spaces from the first round. The video pauses, gets louder and skips. I would like you to clarify this last step with a photo or a short video. Thank you for your service in helping others learn the fiber art of crochet!
