Example would be if you lived under the jurisdiction of East Hampton Township, which includes Montauk, Amagansett, Springs, East Hampton and Wainscott. EH Township requires a shellfish permit for locals and non locals, difference being the non local permit costs more
It is a private beach where you need a resident parking pass in the town of Southold, NY. I was there visiting last week, and the daily police presence reminded me that they are enforcing the local parking laws....
