@@NerdlyCNCtheir reasoning almost reminds me of the guys in the old machinist forums, for whom anything not 100 tons and 100 years old is a toy. Almost. I mean I sell aircraft radial engines and our top of the line "hobby" aircraft radial engine is "only" $25k, so I can understand.
I'm sure you know better than me, but are you seating your collets into the nut correctly? reference 1:30. It's been a while since i ran a VMC, but I recall the collets being more or less flush with the nut face.
hi , i am very new at this realm and I really love it , my question is how to determine which tool to use, is there any guide to know the type of cutter that does a certain cut
You gotta understand too that you have more engagement with a 5 flute vs 4 flute, you said at X amount of axial engagement you had X amount of of flutes engaged, other than that, I just found your channel and you earned a sub👍 I’m in medium production machining we use hurco, haas. Mazak, Dmg Mori, and matsuura, also this part looks similar but smaller scale to a titans of cnc video , did you get this part from that or is it a functional part ?
I keep one in my tool box for when I have to deal with a machine far away from my toolbox - I'm not hauling a full set of wrenches, or running back and forth several hundred feet when I have to go set up a stop on a manual bandsaw.
Ja. stop using adjustables - they are just used for rounding corners off nuts. Or in Africa they use them as a vernier to get the right sized spanner. lol.
Very useful tips; not up to Tool Steel yet, but info is logged. Thank you, as always.
Really useful information there, thanks for making these videos Jas
Jason, thank you for such practical advice.
We don't have the same hobby machine 🤣 nice vid bud 👍
fr tho my man has a entire room dedicated to his cnc machine xD
For sure that X7 def ain't a hobby machine in my book. More of a light-industrial. But good points all-around.
I feel the same way. But Syil markets the machine as hobby mill
Loving my X7, it’s definitely better than any ‘hobby’ mill I know!!
I think it’s the Chinese way to sell it to hobbyists.

If this is a hobby mill I'm a nuclear physicist. Come to my house. I'll show You a hobby mill lol.
Interesting video mate. Great Tips!!
Hello. What ever happened to Okuma 5 axis machine. That is what I'm interested in learning about. Thanks for all you do though.
guessing the x7 is g code and m code like haas controls?

I thought that too.
good shit... I don't ever cut p20 but still love learning about cutting new materials.
How much was that "hobby mill" again? :P
Ha ha. Syil calls it a hobby mill.
And for the record. People buy $50k harleys for a “hobby”
My man's definition of "hobby CNC" is very different than my definition of "hobby CNC".
I shivver every time i see a wrench..brrr!
Nice Video, I work with P20 on an almost daily basis and for milling it's fine, deep hole drilling sucks tho
TSC makes a huge difference
@@NerdlyCNC yeah I know luckily my machine has a 80bar tsc pump, but it takes really long to drill holes that are average 1000mm deep
@@callmekimberly99 1000mm?? Yikes
1000mm?!! Is that a typo, or are you really drilling 1m deep holes in steel?
@@callmekimberly99 whoa 40 inches is pretty wild..

Whats the best phase converter from single phase to 3 phase to run multiple machines like this? Thanks in advance for any advice.
enjoyed the clip, thanks man.
Excellent.

What is the Spindke rpm ?
Rpm is derived from SFM
Should be around 8,150
GENIUS!
You can make a giveaway in one of those videos.
Expensive “hobby machine “ 😂😂 nice work
An X7 is a hobby mill? Damn.
Im sorry. But how does any self respecting machinist use an adjustable wrench.
I’m not a self respecting machinist. Ha ha ha.

I was surprised he did not have the right ring spanner tbh lol.
Thats not a hobby mill !! MY HOME BUILT CNC MILL CAN MILL D2 TOOLSTEEL
r u kidding? is that hobby? lol
