Another brilliant composition by my favorite contemporary composer. Jaan Raats is a musical genius.

I had fun comparing this work with that of Bartok (1940). Sorry, I find Bartok's concerto much more modern !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the danger for composers who approach this type of concerto ... Of course, this is only my humble opinion

A concert rooted in the modern style.

An enjoyable work, with a surprisingly Minimalist accent.

Is the pianist George Hadjinikos the professor who used to teach at the Royal Manchester College of Music?

@Emmanuel Avila Pianist What I think is not related to what I'm asking. I just asked a simple question. I'm interested in finding out more about this recording.

This work brought me into its flow immediately, but after about four minutes I began to lose interest due to its lack of contrast; it began to sound "fussy" and became annoying, despite its admittedly attractive, though repetitive, melodic material. It proved to be much too long for music of such meager inspiration. I've consigned this concerto, and perhaps this composer, to my bottom drawer.

I like it. I find it has a pleasant simplicity to it.

i'm sure a very few composers or more likely none feel the danger because you are comparing them with Bartok
