I used to make this drive at least once a year until I developed agoraphobia. Now I can’t even drive the distance across Salt Lake County. This is helpful in visualizing when I will make this drive again! Thank you for sharing.
Moab was my home. So many times I'd be driving back from Grand Junction or Salt lake city after sunset and I was always filled with joy when I'd come around the turn by arches and see the lights of Moab telling me I'm back home again. So much has changed since I lived there. The high school is gone. City Market took over the lot across from Grand County High School. The old Pizza Hut has been replaced by a newer one just a bit down the road. When we'd drag main one of our turn around points was the A&W on the south end of main, and the Taco Bender on the north. Both gone. But when you get off the main street and drive around the back roads of town the old Moab that is carved into my memory is still there. Like going to visit an old friend you haven't see in years.
Here's something for everyone: 12-14-lane freeways, all the way down to two (or one in the construction zones) lane highways. From big mountains and little passages to mostly straight flatlands as far as the eye can see, with mountains and canyons looming in the distance. I would have had to make more pitstops. And don't you just love it when the state's too cheap to sign just the Interstate and the heck with all the other highways? Again, always-changing views. Moab.

Really enjoy your videos and travel insight. Would love it if you did a Newfoundland to British Columbia Canadian series.
Nice scenic drive through he desert but there will be more to come.
I want to drive all the way across route 6 some day
Where are nice rides for Utah on I-15 and US-6 on Thursday Afternoon. Ninja Utah on Salt Lake City to Moab afterwards!
Colorado is next!
