thank you for all the details - I like this design - my need is to crush charcoal I am making for biochar - so the material is not as hard as rock, but same idea to make it into a powder or less than 1/4" - where should I look for the 16" pipe material you used? I keep looking for stuff to "re-purpose" and obtain cheap !
Do you know if crushed kitchen dishware (ceramics), glassware and porcelain bathroom sinks would make a good soil? I have about 50 pounds of fine powder crushed out of these things with more to come soon.
Larry, how is the motor holding up? I just started making one and am concerned that the bearings in the Harbor Freight motor may not hold up with the constant vibrating pull always in the same direction. I wonder if a second pulley mounted 180 degrees from the direction of the crusher shaft, mounted on a lubricated bearing would be worth the effort? Good work and thanks for posting this video, and, yes, I watched Jeff William's video, as well.
Nice ! How is it holding up a year latter ? I gotta ask if you had that flail shaft balanced ? I'd say that has got to be the most critical component to cut down on severe vibration !
Sabes si desprende metal al impacto?

Have you considered using a tension pulley on the the belt? That would greatly reduce the vibration you are experiencing. Just a thought 😎

very good.... we like it....
cool man! so what exactly do you need crushed rock for?
Its not only for gold or any heavy metal mining, but you can crush up limestone and aggregate to make fine powder for cement.

No i never had it balanced but it is holding up fine!
could you share a list of all the parts? if possible, would be great
all the parts are listed in video
Think you can hold the camera steady for longer than 2 seconds. Unwatchable.
YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaa
