Jacksonville, a cruiser with one of the highesest DPM meets a CV, shoots it for 3 min straight and after that this CV still has a third of its health left. Every BB, who is supposed to be at the front and should have better armor would be gone after 30 sec. Good job wargaming!
Diffrence lies in the lack of a large super structure and an armored deck and because jacksonville shells are so high angle they just all land on the deck if they hit on the side it would be diffrent
@@Ricardowieringa "Diffrence lies" in the lack of logic in the WeeGee coding. They got the order to love CV, and that's it. The most ironic part is that CV can't explode... and generally are the class which manages fire most efficiently in this game. Regarding the magic "armored deck" - for the proposed Taiho improvement it was 4-5 inches, so much less than horizontal armor of even existing modern WW2 battleships. And I assure you, that 300 deck hits of 152mm high-explosive shells would make ANY carrier a burning hell, instead of zero dmg like in this pseudo-historical game.
@@Edi_J does detonation even matter anymore since they just outright removed that a patch or 2 ago and even then CV's are the easiest to dev strike by any BB if you even have a hint of broadside
@@Ricardowieringa for me it doesn't matter, as I stopped playing this game a few years ago, despite spending quite an amount of time and money on it earlier. This is not only a scam system, but also failed system - with personal single boss's decisions turning the whole team into one dead end after another. Yes, it is/was addicting, and I love the graphical side of it, so I still watch it on YT to check how the dying goes. And you can't convince me that "everything is fine with cv because when broadsided they can be dev struck". Normally a CV could be made inoperable with a single HE shell, and detonated by a few more with fires raging in the process. CV do not belong in this game, period. Yes, it is arcade game, but someone high-up in the wee gee ranking didn't get the memo that fitting classes like carriers and submarines is simply impossible without destroying the artillery gameplay. We got cv and then subs stuck into our throats with nobody actually wanting them. All other sick decisions, like basing the whole gameplay on gimmicks like crypton-vision radar and similar fantasies added to the disaster. For me personally the final straw was introducing "Ze Mighty and Ze Best Red Matuschka Fairy Tale Fleet" while in reality the only large warships designed and built by the Soviets before WW2 ended were Leningrad-class DD. "Historical naval game", hell yeah.
144 planes destroyed and the CV still has full squadrons... I still hate the CV Rework, for all the complaints with the RTS CVs at least they paid for throwing away their aircraft into a heavy AA field.
Here it is beautiful to see how the anti-aircraft defense does not actually work. The aircraft always makes the one drop and the anti-aircraft defense simply shoots down only those planes that are in the swarm in addition.
Over 300 hits on the CV and still left with a third of health. Thank you war gaming for this wonderful gaming experience.
And nearly 170 planes shot down - fckn protected class bullsh!t
@@Bozel-ii8pj And it wasn't any "no fly zone" because he suffered 60k from bombs and torps. Shooting down planes AFTER they drop is not very helpful.

2:57 AP exist
Exactly. A lot of these replays are just mid players having luck on their side.
@@vipinnair1991 true
This player isn't even mid. just fortunate.
Clearly you have never shot a CV with cruiser AP. They'd all ricochet off the deck.
@@chrisroe77 Clearly you were dropped on your head. Broadside shots at medium to short ranges doesn't hit the deck because it doesn't plunge.

This game is still too gentle for aircraft carrier players
If that Edgar had eyes or hands, this game wouldve gone very differently
wait ocean map is still a thing?
Ocean! My favorite map.
Said only you :D

lots of reportable if not bannable offenses in chat. GG. What an accurate display of the Warships "community". Shame.
