I’m 67 and have all the comics I bought new, 1967-69. 99% Marvel with Jack Kirby being my favorite. But only when written by Lee. Thor, FF, Daredevil, Cap. America including # 100, ASM, (including #59), XMen, Avengers (including 57) etc, etc…. I have the DC Batman Poison Ivy intro issue and just saw they came with the wall hanger centerfold. Just checked and it was there! I haven’t looked at these in years until seeing vids like this. Condition isn’t great as I read the hell out of them. 12 cents went a long way back then.

I was calculating the whole way. By the end, I thought $5,000 would be a steal, $10,000 would be totally reasonable. So $7,500 is pretty darn good! Congrats, there are some classics in there

I watched till the end to hear the total, the price actually sounds about right. The TH-camr West Cost davengers recently posted a similar video. He paid about the same for a silver age collection.
I am really starting to like and learn about early Daredevil comics. I need to start really collecting them. Some awesome comics there.

I have many of those books, so I would have hoped and thought that it would have gone for a lot more than $7500! I think that you will make a profit on this. I was in the Pasadena area the first week of October and would like to have been able to see your show!
One of the toughest things to do is evaluate a collections within 10 minutes of meeting a seller. I think it was fair on both sides 😃

what kinds of bags do you use?? i just back into comics and like the look of them.
For a majority of the silver age comics, I use comic pro line silver age bags and boards. For the higher value silver age comics, I use egerber mylite 2 standard size bags and egerber fullback standard size boards.

By far ASM #3 gets the cigar. I personally think I wouldn’t of paid more than 4K anyway congratulations!

$7,500 seems high - that said, if the bigger books are graded leniently you should be ok. Send me the ASM 16.

$7500 felt high at the time but for the quality of books, it’s not too bad. Hoping for some good grades from CGC. DD16 is an upgrade for me so I might let my 4.5 go once I get it back. 👍
Any update on whether you ended up making the money back? Seems like a pretty high price to me, but there is a lot of competition for these collections.
Thanks for your comment. Many of the keys have been moved such as asm 3 and strange tales 110. Made back with about half of the books still remaining.
Just want to clear something up I hear a lot of people mispronouncing Ka-Zar's name. If you'll open the X-Men #10 to the first page or splash page, it says, "pronounced Kay- Zar". But, great haul!

I recommend following @nearmintsundays on Instagram. It’s a great comic book only show that happens 2-3 times a year in Anaheim CA. Hopefully the next one happens in a few months. 👍

Im new to the comic book world, im a sports card collector. My grandson love comic books. Need help to leave my babies great comic books. What do i collect for them. They like GI joe, spider man, transformers, batman, hulk. Wish to buy two of the best for my babies. Any help would be appreciated.
Welcome to comic collecting! There are many awesome issues for those characters and they can have a huge range in budget. An easy way to narrow down which issues your grandson would be interested in is have him watch a TH-cam video showcasing each of those characters. I have two videos on my channel showcasing comic book keys for both spider-man and hulk. In these videos, I explain the key significance of each comic book. That would be a good start.
