Still on this, you rock the mic like a rocker but rhyme like a rapper, casual like a teenager and you kick a serious tune.. bruh I don’t know how you’re not bigger 👌🏼
I agree with everything you are saying. And I think like most fans of JR, one of the reasons i cant get enough of him is because of his intelligent lyrics. Maybe you can enlighten me to what these lyrics are about. Dont get me wrong i am JR CRAZY, i estimate im his biggest fan in Australia :P Cheers.
you dont need to like christian rap or rap or music you either like the artist on his merits or you don't i have been quite a fan of reuben for awhile and his new stuff is knockin it out of the park
Dear John Reuben, Is the song at the end, taken from another song??? Because it has an extremely awsome dance beat. I can't get enoughf of it. What is the name of the song in the end??? If it is not already a full lenth song, then Please, Please, Please, make it into a full lenth song. THANKS!!!
Who rocks the show so it's good to go? Put the money in the bank and tell the crowd thanks (Come on, jamboree. Nickel and dime, music machine) Even if it's a tough pill to swallow Entertainers, role models (Cow bells, tambourines. Somebody's listening)
john u r amazingly talented but i just cant seem to figure out the point to this song. i want to but i cant find a meaning. if anyone can explain it that would be great :)
Actually he said God around the 2 minute mark. But I wonder what God cares about, how many times we mention His names in a song or how we represent Him in our lives and our heart? Dont put a standard on Christians where they should be mentioning the word Jesus or God in every song. God wants us to enjoy all that He has given us including music. Please dont start viewing songs that do not mention the name of Jesus as un-Godly, that becomes religious.
I get what you're saying, but a simple fact of life is that familiarity breeds contempt. Mentioning God or Jesus in a song can turn a lot of people away from a potential gateway to God and Jesus, simply because they have it in their head that they want nothing to do with God. We don't need more music about God, we need more Godly music to enter the secular market and draw people in. Make them wonder and then they'll seek out more.
@@ParadeTheGospel No problem “Willing to say God would make a way. But it’s a dangerous place to get paid to motivate” these lyrics are basically addressing these “Prosperity Gospel” teachers preaching that our Creator wants us to basically be rich and they also only interpret blessings as financial.
""Easy to say "God will make a way" but get paid to motivate" (That's in this song) Whoever doesn't get God in the song is being pretty religious. Isn't God glorified in His creation?! Yet the flowers don't have "Jesus" written in ink on every stem. Even the Father said the ones who knew Him were feeding the poor, clothing the naked, and loving others. They didn't even know they were doing it for God.
It's "...but it's a dangerous place to get paid to motivate" according to how I heard it. Which makes sense to me in a way, it won't be real if you're just speaking the words and not really living it too. Kind of like the 'easier said than done' phrase.
I think you are being to obvious and pedantic here. Anyone who begins to believe there own hype is destined for destruction- Samson, Solomon, the list goes on. But then again the Bible is full of immodestly dressed women and visceral imagery.
i understand where he's coming from, but was God or even Jesus' name mentioned even once? no, the annointing is what makes the difference my brother sadly there was none, and one must at least have the ability to tell the difference from a worldly song than a gospel, nothing is wrong with rap,, i love it,, but Jesus must be relevant within it God Bless All
I am very disappointed, John Reu. You even said it in THIS VERY SONG... "Even if it's a tough pill to swallow, entertainers, role models." What kind of role model are you being with this sick video with immodestly dressed women and visceral imagery? This is the most secular thing I've seen you do yet! I'm just not impressed here.
Must say i loved town folk, but didnt enjoy this AT ALL. Please dont loose what was so important in your early music "Are We There Yet". No God = Me Not Happy. :'(
I love it

i only like da last 6 or 7 secs it sounds like another song
It's another tune from the same record.
John Reuben is awesome. I really like the song Confident cuz my sister plays the flower girl haha.
Where was God? .., if you believe he's omnipresent, you could say he was behind the camera.

I have no idea what 95% of his songs are about
You have to think beyond the surface
@@allenmobley8444 would love to have someone explain even just a little bit!

you don't understand the meaning. shut up and look at the meaning of the song instead of whining about women who are slightly underdressed
