- The Myrrors are a mythical force in contemporary psychedelia and one of our favourite bands over here at Fuzz Club HQ. That’s why when they came over to the UK a few months back we dragged them along to The Pool Studio in London to lay down a Fuzz Club Session, due for release July 27th.

How can anyone who knows of this band dislike this??? Seriously... these guys are easily one of the best psychedelic bands out there who have never succumbed to the rehashed psych-lite crap that many of the current crop of "psych" bands have made a name for themselves with. Keep doing what your doing guys... this is sonic GOLD!
I used to be one of those people, but this band finally clicked for me now. I suspect this is for the reasons you mentioned, the Myrrors use familiar influences in very different contexts than they originated in.
Bloody amazing, Fuzz Club always hunts out the best in new psychedelia and these are no exception just brilliantly different.

I remember listening to this band many years ago and not really understanding their music, tried again this year now that I am in a completely different mental space than then, and they finally clicked. I can hear a clear influence from the Velvet Underground in particular John Cale's violin playing, but using the same stylistic elements in a context that is almost the polar opposite from the VU's. To be specific Myrrors go for an atmosphere of vast majestic desolate landscapes under expansive open skies whereas the VU went for one of sprawling decadent modern cities.
