I suggest always wrapping the new plumbing assembly with a wet rag prior to applying heat to protect the internal rubber diaphragm in back flow assembly. Thanks for posting.❤✌️👍🇺🇸

Always wrap Teflon tape in the same direction as the threads, which is clockwise. Rookie move on your part brother.

it actually does matter in real life applications. if you put the tape counterclockwise it comes loose. @@beardedspruce
