Leonhart was the Walmart of Pokémon content creators, we went there it had Pokémon, it was a decent deal at the time- but then came PokeRev, and he’s our Costco, cost efficient, fun, free samples 😂 Rev has cultivated an overall fun atmosphere and his energy is just better. No one’s perfect but I def prefer Revs refreshing take over Lees stale content.

I agree, but don't knock Sams' Club over Costco either. Sam's has been killing it over Costco in the prepared meals lately for me. I was HEAVILY disappointed in Costco.. and Sam's has had some pretty good sealed Pokemon too. I.e. that Heavy Hitters Collection box that recently came out too! I also like Sam's electronic and jewelry section more too call me strange. Luckily, they are both close to me so I can pick one or the other! haha ALSO- Walmart nowadays actually has some decent clothing to choose from too. It's strange to think about but if you compare to other places like Target they are not bad at all for the price.
Worth reflecting on how Rev got to where he is now. The monthly pack breaks for fans that went on for days and days, countless hours of just fun, personable, authentic content. Incredible grind. Very revealing that L is upset just because he’s not on the top anymore.

I've been watching him since 2015 he's been one of my favorite content creators to watch the last two years of his channel has been rough it's just sad to see a guy that I watched on a daily basis go downhill and stop caring about his channel leonhart used to be the guy at one-point Leonhart was top dog in the Pokemon community but I feel like he has nobody to blame but himself because he got lazy and put out videos just for the sake of putting out videos and I do feel like his ego was hurt because he's not top dog anymore
You aren't alone in your opinion. I think he's just not happy with the views or the lack of. One thing that I can't expect is for anyone to watch my stuff because they don't have to, and I don't expect them to. Appreciate this video and the last video that you did on him. I think PokeRev got huge because once he hit 1 million he started to release one video per day. Not just that his content even started looking better. On top of all that he always has so much charisma during his live openings. It’s contagious. Sucks you right in. I watched Leonhart’s “I’m Done” video and immediately felt disappointed. Almost unsubscribed but a part of me is still rooting for him and wishing him the best. If he drops one more click bait video that screams please feel sympathy for me I’ll be the one saying “I’m done”.
Personally, I hope that his change to "higher quality content" will also change him for the better. Maybe he can finally learn that making your audience think that you're quitting when you're not isn't exactly the best thing to do. Besides that, this video was great Roc! S tier editing as usual 🔥🔥

I've hated Leonhart for a while, he's very disingenuous. All about clickbait, opening super expensive product for views, not actually caring about his community, etc. Also a scammer like when he started selling those expensive mystery boxes to kids that had barely anything of value in them. I really hope he does just quit. His audience is naive kids who don't know any better and the Pokemon community deserves better. Another huge reason I hate creators like him is they drive up the prices of already hard to obtain vintage product by opening it non stop for views, and no shade to PokeRev but he does a lot of that too. Also he says he doesnt care about the algorithm?? That's LITERALLY the whole point of that clickbait video, and it worked, it got way more views than usual.

I subscribed to Leon in 2019 when I got back into it during the Sword and Shield era... And something always felt off and fake since the very beginning, but as always happens with people, especially TH-camrs; You get used to people, adapt to them, and ignore any first impression red flags. In 2019, the only "real" competition was UnlistedLeaf, and all the other Pokétubers were really small channels. Since 2022 I've been getting annoyed by Leon again and again each time he made these more personal update videos that were super clickbait, not genuine... Also got annoyed when he partnered to sell mystery boxes that were scams... When he did all of these auctions, I started realising he's more of a businessman and Pokémon investor than a Pokémon fan. The thing that proved it to me is when Vstar cards just released, and he thought the Vstar attack card was an error card..... While it's a super important mechanic in the gameplay of Pokémon battles. And his Scarlet and Violet unboxings showed a severe lack of knowledge. I never really followed his community, or hate or callouts, I don't care about drama, and even without that, or following controversies, I got really annoyed. His latest video I watched, and disliked so much I unsubscribed. I can't believe his fanbase just eats up all of his fake positivity. I was curious if anyone else thinks this, and found some vids, including yours! You pointed out mistakes I didn't realise, thanks for that! I don't hate him, he's just a bit of a blinded person. He did great charity work which I respect, but I'm not interested in his content anymore. I'll see what these "high quality Pokémon vids" are, but I'm 80% sure NOTHING in his content will change. We'll see.

It makes me so sad that Pokémon contains so many scams.... It breaks my heart Pokémon has all become about the money, and fooling people to get more money using Pokémon. I remember the time where I pulled a Deoxys ex in 2006 from a pack my mom bought me after school, and all the kids were watching me open it. I remember that a full booster box of Fire Red and Leaf Green ex was worth 100EUR. And base set charizard around 50EUR on eBay. We just had fun collecting and playing (using our own rules lol!)... Now it became so corporate.... WTF happened! I still play a lot of PTCGO and enjoy the game so much. I still have all of my ex cards from the 2003-2006 era and even some base set holos I got when I was 3 lol... But I see them as memories, not as a synonym for bank notes LOL!

I honestly don’t really don’t care about clickbait thumbnail videos. I don’t think you should complain too much. You might be wrong about PokeRev. But you’re not wrong about people leaving his channel because of their opinions, and yes he should make better thumbnails than this.

Great video Roc Sandy. In MY opinion, you're spot on. Over the last two years he has talked about the algorithm multiple occasions. The times when his views dropped, he made a similar video and talked about the algorithm as well as almost making his fans feel guilty. He has also said the same thing about making quality videos over quantity. The only thing he has done is put out less content. There are several "at the park sad story videos" where he would explain why he is going to go from 5 videos down to 4, and then 4 down to 3 was so that he could make better quality content. He was the first person I watched coming back into the hobby. I've met and become friends with so many people and I'm thankful for that, but I honestly think his anxiety has really caused a lot of this. I hope he figures a way to move past and actually does what it sounds like he wants to. As far as that dumpster fire of a live stream he did, He needs to spend a few weeks watching Rev and some of the other big streamers. Lol. Thanks buddy, sorry for the novel.

I think it’s 90% lack of self awareness but the 10% of him that has done scummy things (ie. rare candy boxes) makes him seem like he’s 100% a scummy person
Honestly, he is a freaking degen. After realizing how much his thumbnails can grow his channel, he decided to do it, because even though he did not get much watch hours, he will obtain a sh*t ton of money out of it. He was one of the top pokemon creators to ever exist, and he used that fame to take money from fans who genuinely think he is amazing. There is no way in hell you are getting cancelled. This man could speak any language, but he chose to speak facts.

As one of the first people ever to sell Pokémon cards to Rev before he was even known on TH-cam or IG when he had a measly 100 followers I can say that he’s always been a very genuine very straight forward guy and I’m glad he’s blown up. Leonhart should humble himself and try law again 😂

I'll be honest, I can see why he quit law school, dude has a talent of saying a lot of words and yet not convey a single coherent idea. Leon hart has been promising live streams for literally 3-4 years. It is “convenient” timing that as soon as he was passed, he actually found the “time” to get it all set up. He kept it as a lifeline

This dude started off well.... he was a fan... then he found himself around the listed leafs, king Garry's, etc and it wad money grab PSA this and that.... the normal collector does not have the money to buy PSA everything and that's what he became a cash grab it was about the money... I was so annoyed everytime a card was pulled it was about centering, PSA grade... I could care less about that stuff because realistically I don't have 3k to spend on one card..... Where he really went wrong was his Rare Candy cash grab that was the biggest scam yet to date..... Shortly after that blew up on his face it was over.....
He's "Pokemon Light" for people who aren't deep into collecting or investing - so I think he does bring an element to the hobby. I personally can't watch all the tacky stuff like patting his own back and the silly voices, It's sort of geared towards a 10-year child's level. Nothing against the guy for the success he's had, but there are better options if you really want to get serious about collecting and the financials involved.

Leonhart was the Walmart of Pokémon content creators, we went there it had Pokémon, it was a decent deal at the time- but then came PokeRev, and he’s our Costco, cost efficient, fun, free samples 😂 Rev has cultivated an overall fun atmosphere and his energy is just better. No one’s perfect but I def prefer Revs refreshing take over Lees stale content.

I agree, but don't knock Sams' Club over Costco either. Sam's has been killing it over Costco in the prepared meals lately for me. I was HEAVILY disappointed in Costco.. and Sam's has had some pretty good sealed Pokemon too. I.e. that Heavy Hitters Collection box that recently came out too! I also like Sam's electronic and jewelry section more too call me strange. Luckily, they are both close to me so I can pick one or the other! haha ALSO- Walmart nowadays actually has some decent clothing to choose from too. It's strange to think about but if you compare to other places like Target they are not bad at all for the price.

I've been watching him since 2015 he's been one of my favorite content creators to watch the last two years of his channel has been rough it's just sad to see a guy that I watched on a daily basis go downhill and stop caring about his channel leonhart used to be the guy at one-point Leonhart was top dog in the Pokemon community but I feel like he has nobody to blame but himself because he got lazy and put out videos just for the sake of putting out videos and I do feel like his ego was hurt because he's not top dog anymore
You aren't alone in your opinion. I think he's just not happy with the views or the lack of. One thing that I can't expect is for anyone to watch my stuff because they don't have to, and I don't expect them to. Appreciate this video and the last video that you did on him. I think PokeRev got huge because once he hit 1 million he started to release one video per day. Not just that his content even started looking better. On top of all that he always has so much charisma during his live openings. It’s contagious. Sucks you right in. I watched Leonhart’s “I’m Done” video and immediately felt disappointed. Almost unsubscribed but a part of me is still rooting for him and wishing him the best. If he drops one more click bait video that screams please feel sympathy for me I’ll be the one saying “I’m done”.
Personally, I hope that his change to "higher quality content" will also change him for the better. Maybe he can finally learn that making your audience think that you're quitting when you're not isn't exactly the best thing to do. Besides that, this video was great Roc! S tier editing as usual 🔥🔥

I've hated Leonhart for a while, he's very disingenuous. All about clickbait, opening super expensive product for views, not actually caring about his community, etc. Also a scammer like when he started selling those expensive mystery boxes to kids that had barely anything of value in them. I really hope he does just quit. His audience is naive kids who don't know any better and the Pokemon community deserves better. Another huge reason I hate creators like him is they drive up the prices of already hard to obtain vintage product by opening it non stop for views, and no shade to PokeRev but he does a lot of that too. Also he says he doesnt care about the algorithm?? That's LITERALLY the whole point of that clickbait video, and it worked, it got way more views than usual.

Leonharts target audience is kids... That is one of the biggest problems is he is not connecting with adults who like Pokémon.
I subscribed to Leon in 2019 when I got back into it during the Sword and Shield era... And something always felt off and fake since the very beginning, but as always happens with people, especially TH-camrs; You get used to people, adapt to them, and ignore any first impression red flags. In 2019, the only "real" competition was UnlistedLeaf, and all the other Pokétubers were really small channels. Since 2022 I've been getting annoyed by Leon again and again each time he made these more personal update videos that were super clickbait, not genuine... Also got annoyed when he partnered to sell mystery boxes that were scams... When he did all of these auctions, I started realising he's more of a businessman and Pokémon investor than a Pokémon fan. The thing that proved it to me is when Vstar cards just released, and he thought the Vstar attack card was an error card..... While it's a super important mechanic in the gameplay of Pokémon battles. And his Scarlet and Violet unboxings showed a severe lack of knowledge. I never really followed his community, or hate or callouts, I don't care about drama, and even without that, or following controversies, I got really annoyed. His latest video I watched, and disliked so much I unsubscribed. I can't believe his fanbase just eats up all of his fake positivity. I was curious if anyone else thinks this, and found some vids, including yours! You pointed out mistakes I didn't realise, thanks for that! I don't hate him, he's just a bit of a blinded person. He did great charity work which I respect, but I'm not interested in his content anymore. I'll see what these "high quality Pokémon vids" are, but I'm 80% sure NOTHING in his content will change. We'll see.

I remember the time where I pulled a Deoxys ex in 2006 from a pack my mom bought me after school, and all the kids were watching me open it. I remember that a full booster box of Fire Red and Leaf Green ex was worth 100EUR. And base set charizard around 50EUR on eBay. We just had fun collecting and playing (using our own rules lol!)... Now it became so corporate.... WTF happened! I still play a lot of PTCGO and enjoy the game so much. I still have all of my ex cards from the 2003-2006 era and even some base set holos I got when I was 3 lol... But I see them as memories, not as a synonym for bank notes LOL!

Great video Roc Sandy. In MY opinion, you're spot on. Over the last two years he has talked about the algorithm multiple occasions. The times when his views dropped, he made a similar video and talked about the algorithm as well as almost making his fans feel guilty. He has also said the same thing about making quality videos over quantity. The only thing he has done is put out less content. There are several "at the park sad story videos" where he would explain why he is going to go from 5 videos down to 4, and then 4 down to 3 was so that he could make better quality content. He was the first person I watched coming back into the hobby. I've met and become friends with so many people and I'm thankful for that, but I honestly think his anxiety has really caused a lot of this. I hope he figures a way to move past and actually does what it sounds like he wants to. As far as that dumpster fire of a live stream he did, He needs to spend a few weeks watching Rev and some of the other big streamers. Lol. Thanks buddy, sorry for the novel.

I think you put good explanation, but the reasons and the content you talk about, it's like calling out people because they do things from management perspective. Do you call out someone for being good at his job? If you have a passion, and you want to live from it, you have to settle things for it. You have to present it in a way it seems appealing for viewers / customers. You have to gain attention, then you show what you do.
At no point, Leonhart lied about something related to his content beside contradicting himself about the reasons behind his way of doing things, that's not scam. That's not because you assumed things based on fallacious reasoning and implicite idea based on vague thumbnail title that the author has to be defamed or discriminated.
That's basically the fundamental of any contract ever: you have 2 pages of "agreement" (internet), but you just click without reading it all. It's not scam, you are advertise of it, you just don't read it, that's on you.

This dude started off well.... he was a fan... then he found himself around the listed leafs, king Garry's, etc and it wad money grab PSA this and that.... the normal collector does not have the money to buy PSA everything and that's what he became a cash grab it was about the money... I was so annoyed everytime a card was pulled it was about centering, PSA grade... I could care less about that stuff because realistically I don't have 3k to spend on one card..... Where he really went wrong was his Rare Candy cash grab that was the biggest scam yet to date..... Shortly after that blew up on his face it was over.....
He's "Pokemon Light" for people who aren't deep into collecting or investing - so I think he does bring an element to the hobby. I personally can't watch all the tacky stuff like patting his own back and the silly voices, It's sort of geared towards a 10-year child's level.
Nothing against the guy for the success he's had, but there are better options if you really want to get serious about collecting and the financials involved.
