One of my favorite Kendalls song. As a truck driver and only child who used to sneak his transistor radio under his pillow at night to listen to country music it always resonated with me. God bless the 70's ❤
I sure do miss this kind of country music. Back when the women dressed and presented themselves as ladies and men respected them and the men were genuine gentlemen. Nowadays the country artists , male and female dress trashy(mainly the women) and they have turned music more into pop/country.
I watch all the older players and realize (the real thing). This is real country music. I am grateful to have grown up with this. The real stuff is dyeing. I am so grateful to have listened to this growing up. Thank You.
Listening to this live version and then comparing it to the original… Jeannie’s voice is every bit as good if not better than the original take thank you for a wonderful song brings back many memories
this is real music. this is what made the world normal back in the day. everything has gone to hell these days...people, music, morals, google, facebook, youtube, twitter, cars, kids, laws, freedom,....but not this music and the old times and of course sweet loyal innocent dogs. LOL
Too many people are willing to accept this watered-down rock and roll that's inaccurately referred to as country music! George Jones once stated that while modern country music was decent music that was very popular; the genre really needed a new name 😀 😄 😉 👍 The Possum said that it wasn't really country music, pop music , or rock and roll music 😀 👍 😉 He challenged them to try 😀 😉 😜 👍 🤔 to find an accurate name for this very popular genre of commercial music 🎶 🎵 As of today 😀 😉 😜 they still haven't come up with an accurate 😀 😉 👍 😜 name for this genre of commercial music. It is truly a sad state of affairs!
WOW !! DOES HEARING JEANNIE KENDALL SING EVER BRING BACK THE MEMORIES OF MY FIRST YEAR GOING FULL BLOWN COUNTRY !! THE YEAR WAS 1979 , ID JUST MOVED 2 CALIFORNIA , WAS STILL IN 2 THE STONES , DOORS , CREEDENCE ETC , WHICH I'LL ALWAYS LOVE , BUT 1 DAY AS I WAS FLIPPING THRU RADIO STATIONS 2 FIND A CLEAR 1 , I HEARD THE FATHER DAUGHTER ACT < THE KENDALLS > , 4 THE FIRST TIME AND WAS I FLOORED BY THE SINGING@HARMONY COMING OUT OF THESE AMAZING VOICES !! THAN GOD 4 THE KENDALLS !! MARTIN BRUCE
There's still room for the Stones. Back in 45rpm days it was nothing for me to have a stack of records on the changer ranging from the Stones, Beatles, Webb Pierce, Hank Snow, and the Kendalls. Check my little selections out and you'll see what I mean. Even the Andrews Sisters Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy can be heard coming from my stereo. Enjoy it all!!! Life's too short. I even have MC Hammer's greatest. How much more variety can one have???
Absolutely Beautiful well done Guys pure Country Gold at it's very best Miss Jeanie - sounds better than ever and what a beautiful snug fit between the harmonies of Rhonda and Darrin, don't come any better than this. folks!
I had never heard this song before, and now I can't stop listening to it, Ms kendalls voice is beautiful, I couldn't picture anyone else doing it justice, I knew she sang heaven is just a sin away, but not this. I'm a fan now....
Listened to this on CFGM when it was popular!!! Drove from Parry Sound to Toronto at 4:00 in the morning!! Sure miss the music that was plated then not the "New Country"
Back in the 70's I was on the road truckin'.....hauling new GM cars. Our charge stop motel in St. Louis had a steak house/bar on the property where we'd always eat. One night I walked in, had dinner and learned of some entertainment coming in that night. Some of my friends and I stuck around and were fortunate to be entertained by not only Jeannie and Royce Kendall.....but, her little brother came in and sang. He looked to be about 12 years old or so.......with a voice, decades older.....
Both fantastic job on this song , still remember song hit radio stations. I grow up listen Country Music back 1970 still do today. Pure country music sound. As child is oldest my dad want me listen Country Music. I kind follow his root of music and truck songs back then. Still remember saw her at Wisconsin music area . Back 1988. Truly enjoy all classic hits songs from 1970s and 1980s still are greatest.
I remember growing up to the music,,the radio,, came to live music,,play a guitar. I also the radio kept me company on nights that would of been lonely!!! THANK GOD FOR THE RADIO
As a young man. I always loved the Kendall's. I had most of their albums. Its sad that her dad pasted on. But I still think Jeannie is an awesome entainer on her own. I would love to see her have another nuber one hit. I would buy the the CD. With a smile on my face and joy in my heart. Great video thanks for sharing it.
She's ONE OF A KIND! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HER. SHE REMINDS ME SOOO MUCH OF MY UP BRINGING! WE WERE SO BROUGHT UP ON GOOD MUSIC💕 TO SING AND DANCE SUCH GOOD MEDICINE💕💕💕
Now that brings back some great memories. Man she has got an unmistakable voice. My wife used to do this song and "Heavens Just A Sin Away" back when we did gigs too, and she does this woman's songs really well. I miss those good ole days.
Her voice is as clear,BEAUTIFUL and strong as it was when she first started her career,I think she sounds better than she did before, That's just my thought, Her voice has mellowed out more ,She still sounds AMAZING THOUGH, LOVE MISS KENDALL✌👍🙂💜❣🎼🎤
+Robert Boyd Jeannie and her father made albums as The Kendalls....very beautiful songs...like Heaven just a sin away....Making believe...Pittburgs steelers and many other good songs...
Amazing - just wow! There must be some sort of 'conspiracy' to keep real music off the radio now. I can't imagine music lovers everywhere not Loving this!
Why is it that this woman can sing in tune, with high voice and she does not sound as though she is screeching. I love her voice. That one that calls itself country with the high pitched screechy voice can learn a whole lot from this woman.
I can’t count on both hands all the many nights I played this song while I watched through my windshield the world pass me by from one destination to another haulin’ one load after another , and ……….. missin’ my wife more and more in the passin’ of each day and night . today , ( 20 ) years later ………. I’m divorced and still drivin’ . she gave me a choice , it was her or my truck …….. I couldn’t have both . well , I’m still drivin’ truck for a livin’ . 👍😎
Continuing post below......Jeannie's brother was stunning....kind of like when we first heard LeAnn Riimes...singing "Blue".....I'm wondering if anyone knows his name or what happened to him. The three Kendall's were one of the best trio's I've ever listened to. And listening to Jeannie here......her voice is as good if not better than when I first saw her around 35 years ago! You go, Jeannie!!!
Jimmy Capps, who incidentally helped form one of the first touring bands in the United States Army 🇺🇸 during his honorable years of service to our beautiful 😍 country 😄, was truly one of the great ones who made the difficult look easy 👏 He was and is a big influence on my own personal lead guitar 🎸 style! Sheriff Jimmy Capps on the Larry's Country Diner television 📺 series was actually a military 🪖 police 🚔 officer in the US Army until the commanding officer of the fort where Jimmy Capps was stationed, discovered that Jimmy Capps had been a lead guitarist 🎸 with the Louvin Brothers on the WSM Grand Ole Opry, before being drafted into the Army. Needless to say, young Jimmy's Commanding Officer made Private First Class Capps an Entertainment Specialist 👏 😆 really quickly 😳, as Pfc Capps 's talents 👏 😉 👍 😀 could be much more effectively utilized as a Military Entertainment Specialist, than as a Military Police 🚔 Officer! Rest in heaven 🙏Jimmy Capps 🙏 💔 😢 💙 😔 until we all meet again 🙏 in ❤️ 💖 🙏 💕 😢 💙 Heaven; where death 😢 💔 🙏 ❤️ 😞 and illness 🤒 😢 💔 are not even a bad dream 😢 💔 🙏 💙 ❤️ 😞
How is it possible for Jeannie to sound even better than she did in 1984? Put your headphones on and listen to every note that band plays. If they aren't the greatest country band you ever heard...tell me who is.
Our Country Classics of yesteryear stand alone . No modern Country singers or their songs have such heart touching Charisma .
You are soo right, David 😍😍
One of my favorite Kendalls song. As a truck driver and only child who used to sneak his transistor radio under his pillow at night to listen to country music it always resonated with me. God bless the 70's ❤
Wish radio stations would bring back the Country Pop format of the '70s and '80s .. ☺
Jeannie Kendall's voice is as good as ever. That is what you call country music folks! That's how it's done.
Amen bro
I sure do miss this kind of country music. Back when the women dressed and presented themselves as ladies and men respected them and the men were genuine gentlemen. Nowadays the country artists , male and female dress trashy(mainly the women) and they have turned music more into pop/country.
I am so glad she started singing again. I grew up on this pure county music and it needs to stay on the radio. This is true classic country music.
Amen to that 🙏 brother 🙏 👏 💯
I watch all the older players and realize (the real thing). This is real country music. I am grateful to have grown up with this. The real stuff is dyeing. I am so grateful to have listened to this growing up. Thank You.
Words cannot describe this woman's voice! Even better than 30 years ago!! Chills! 😘
I played the Kendalls as much as anybody else back in their heyday. Jeanie has one of the best voices in country music.

Yeah she's...😊
Yes it does without a doubt
After all this time her voice is as good and strong as ever....Such a good country tune.....Back when country was REAL country !
Listening to this live version and then comparing it to the original… Jeannie’s voice is every bit as good if not better than the original take thank you for a wonderful song brings back many memories
Yes, Jeannie's voice is still great and clear. Also Rhonda & Darrin Vincent are nailing that harmony. They have remained great for a lot of years.
this is real music. this is what made the world normal back in the day. everything has gone to hell these days...people, music, morals, google, facebook, youtube, twitter, cars, kids, laws, freedom,....but not this music and the old times and of course sweet loyal innocent dogs. LOL
The truth ! Well said ! 💯👍🏻👍🏻
Great song sung by Jeannie Kendall! The lead guitar 🎸 work by the legendary Jimmy Capps is also phenomenal 👏 We love and miss you Sheriff Capps!
Such beautiful country music. Why can't it still be this way?

Hello Mary
Jeannie Kendall hasn't lost anything. Great voice! She still has it.
Thank you all. God bless.
Always love that song, how sweet, wish Royce was still with us but Darrin carried his part well. Thanks Jeannie and Vincents!
Darren absolutely nails Royce's harmony vocals, but the deadpan delivery lets it down a little. Rhonda seems a little more animated.
Just like Royce said I got car sickness 😌
I remember growing up to the music,,the radio,, came to live music,,play a guitar. I also the radio kept me company on nights that would of been lonely!!! THANK GOD FOR THE RADIO
Going to see Jeannie in Branson in October, Can't wait! Love her singing! ❤️

Wow.... todays artists try,but not as good as music from this era. Thanks for sharing.
If this doesn't move you, something is bad wrong! 💜
Exactly 💯 if that great country doesn't at least make you tap your foot and grin, your wires are seriously crossed 😀 😄 👌 😉
I meant country song 🎵 sung beautifully 😍 💕 ❤️ 💖 by the fabulous 👌 👏 👍 😍 💖 ✨️ Jeanne Kendall
