I was their personal "gopher" for a while before the show and through soundcheck, etc. Other than what they all looked like and were wearing, especially her, they were pretty normal people. Only decades later did I learn what a unique and tragic person she was.

What a broad. She was so ahead of her time. This woman was loved and respected by her male peers back then and remember now as a straight bad ass rock icon. Rip. Never forgotten.

My parents took me to see Kiss in '82 and Wendy was the opening act. They were speechless. I was 13 and I remember being a little scared of her. She was awesome, really intense, in fact Kiss seemed pretty tame by comparison.
I’m proud to say I saw them all play live a few times on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles back in the day when I snuck into these club venues underage. 🤘The best memories I’ve ever had. Them bl*wing up school busses, sawing TVs in half with a chain saw, and the police tear gassing the place as we made our great escape from the riot squads. Good times to grow up in.

You couldn't marginalize this beast of a singer and pure raw, on stage energy. She defied the box that women of her generation were too often held captive. Love her for that.
When I was a small boy in the 80’s my grandfather would take me to a local scrapyard to recycle my aluminum cans. Strangely enough, there were several women who worked there that could have stood in as body (and attitude) doubles for Wendy! 😮😊
