The problem I had was, what changed between the 12th ballot and the 15th? There were 4 ballots that happened on Friday, so unless Boebert and Gaetz made changes each time, this was unacceptable.

Something I picked up from McCarthy's speech was his recognition that the only solutions do NOT come from Congress; his nod to Reagan and O'Neil with Reagan's dream of "city on the hill" and O'Neil's thought of "all politics is local." And, WHY does balancing the budget have to be such a big deal - in Ohio all municipalities must balance the budget - balancing the budget needs to be a natural ideal. Finally, calling out the Republican Party as not being unified is downright stupidity - just look at the HUGE bills that have passed over the last two years with a "unified" House and Senate. Now it is time for Republicans to 'practice what it is they preach.'
