Good video! This is what we have been doing for several years for our clients. Drive engagement for them. When the engagement works the calls to action improve. Attract -> interact -> transact should always be the plan.

Yes Yes! It's the Social Triangle, you showing up, connecting with your community members, and giving the platform what it wants... more people staying on the platform longer. So great to see it tested this way. Sometimes, we'll even edit the post after it's already gotten engagement and add the link back into the post with a little update message as a PS. Love it.

Facebook pages is about doing engagement posts to create a warm audience that you can then advertise to. And if you can put some money behind your engagement posts, find your posts that get the most engagement and then take those winners and make those engagement ads to accelerate your audience building so you have a larger warm audience to advertise to.

Apologies if this has already been asked. Is it better to create the text-based questions in Facebook, using the text and backgrounds they provide, as opposed to creating the question in something like Canva, where I can use my brand's colors and fonts (which essentially means I would be posting an image and not text, right?)? Thank you so much!

Maybe it was a fluke, but I tried your idea this morning and the engagement is about 5 times our normal engagement and the post has only been up for a couple hours so far. That is enough to convince me to test this idea for the next few days and see how it pans out!
Are you speaking more from the context of a FB page/professional type profile? I tend to be most active through my personal profile - is that helping or hindering? And, I really appreciate this clip - what I did last year was driving a TON more organic outreach but this year, it's been crickets and bupkis. Wow! Thank you so much for this. I manage a lot of hotel's Facebook account and will try this.... but I feel like followers want to see gorgeous photos of what they can expect. Maybe I will try to just mix up the kind of things I post. So still share photos/ videos, but throw in some engaging questions with the text/bg feature.

You could ask questions about the photos, what do they love, maybe hide things in the photos for them to find. Or, share multiple photos and have them chose their favorites. So many opportunities! Love it.

Great finding I learn a lot from your experiment. I have a question that I recently started a Facebook page and my page content is based on business and tech which is a type of informational content. Can I adopt your strategy to grow my page and get more reach .?

I completely agree with pages that would share mostly links but what if you are a VISUAL brand and depend on images to showcase your services and completed projects? Suddenly posting text-based posts would be quite a change from what our audience (we think!) expects to see. Advice?

I actually tried the method mentioned by pasted the link on the comment section after noticed a trend on doing so recently.
I must admit I was a bit skeptical about it, but I did notice some results after doing so as visits to the link from the comment section increased (although not as huge amount).
On top of having an engaging topic to encourage interaction, I have been wondering what could be the pull power to entice visitors to click the link from the comment section rather than those pasted on the post directly?
It's no longer about getting people to link click. It's just there as a bonus for those who wanna go deeper - Mike
