Really appreciate this post. Lately, I've noticed more posts of Scott playing in live venues. Also, first time ever seeing the master, Victor Feldman , playing-- not to mention a rare appearance of the underrated Grant Geisman. Much thanks, jjjazzzz :)

THANKS for posting this! I've been looking for this on-line for years! Though, I think the original recording from Apple Juice with Eric Gale, Richard Tee, Marcus Miller, etc. is better, I'm NOT complaining. Thanks you! Thank you! Thank you!

Has anyone got any idea where I might be able to find these tapes? I live for this kind of music

Tom plays that lyricon really well, but there is no need for its existence: the soprano saxophone gives a very similar sound, and with a much better tone.

That's just not true. The electronics it uses gives it a larger range of sounds.

& the legato and melismatic feel is not there with a soprano

I also like it more than the soprano, which always reminds me of the kitsch of Kenny G.
When I first heard him play it it was on Quincy Jones" "What good is a song", I thought it was a synthesizer and was overwhelmed by the greatness of the style and the sound
