OMG, yes, it blew my mind. Today, my FSD arrived replacing my 2024.8.9 quagmire. I took 2 drives in 4 segments and got caught in a VERY heavy rain & hail Squall just now. 8 traffic circles, many unprotected lefts & stoplights. Had 2 interpretations for a few bicycles on a 55mph backroad. Mostly uninterrupted ~20 min drives into various shopping districts and back. Wow. Cheers, Eric
For years I’m watching the videos about autopilot and FSD getting better and better while still driving in the stone age of autopilot, so to say, here in Germany .. I’m so jealous.. I want FSD finally here in Germany!!!
This seems like the worst period. Even the market are now very unpredictable. Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high, today I am more than 60% down!
And yes, I know this is a recording, just thought you should check audio setup before the next session, it may just be the mixing on this one vid… I wouldn’t worry too much about my opinion unless someone else says something.
To Larry Your excitement a being alive to witness and experience these things is so damn beautiful I myself I’m 59 and share your enthusiasm Your gesture causes me happiness and I’m happy for you 👌🏾❤
CT ratio is not a problem for FSD. FSD can directly control the wheels at a 1:1 ratio. It’s possible that they want FSD on CT not drive the steering wheel at all and see that might be possible with FSD 12.5 or 12.6 and are waiting for that.
Re: CT steering. @TeslaLarry Is steering a function of steering wheel position *OR* steering rack position? If the latter, the fast steering phenomenon in CT is not an FSD limiter... it's likely the rear wheel steering.
Great Channel, all this nice talking and hype is good but IMO actually delivering revenue and earnings growth is better than Tesla HQ talking all the time about FSD and RT.
9:38 Funny you mention corner cases. V12.3’s most troublesome failure has been dropping the right rear wheel into the ditch at the inside corner of tight right turns. ;/

my biggest issues has been maps and mph. In St. louis going east bound on highway 270 and getting on 367 towards alton there was highway construction for a over ramp, in the meantime as that was being built modot made a left turn at a traffic light. my tesla wants to keep using that but that left turn has been removed about 3 months ago. The cars map shows the over ramp and the left turn but it wont take the over ramp. mph from my understanding is gps base. I seem to get slow downs on the highway when i go over a road that is under the highway.

That car to fleet communication may have helped in the disaster fantasy "Leave The World Behind" with Teslas clogging up roads, Elon commented on that Netflix movie...
I like to show as far as the full self driving training the others when you come to a blocked street by construction. How will the fleet know when the construction is done and can drive through the street again? Does the car currently have the ability to automatically park in the exact same spot in your garage when you are in full self driving on the way home?
I'm guessing FSD will continue to nag you if you look away or become too still for more than a few seconds. Got our first Tesla, a new model 3, two months ago. Our FSD free trial expires tomorrow so we (swallowed hard and) paid $8660 a few hours ago. FSD is already extremely useful for me. I need and want help watching all directions, the eyes in the back of my head aren't very good. In addition, I've always been a somewhat emotional, competitive driver, FSD drives like a mature professional. It takes a month to get comfortable with it IMO but then you have to have it. The next 10-15 years should be interesting.
I see the biggest risk to be, when Tesla will have to declare FSD unsupervised, which Larry referred to regarding NHTSA position. The position is clear as it is defined by the SAE J3016 standard, which NHTSA is using for Driving Automation, where all levels 0-2 are "supervised" and it states: "What does the human in the driver's seat have to do?" "You must constantly supervise these support features; you must steer, brake or accelerate as needed to maintain safety". The reason the nags are there now is because there was incidents with old and current releases, so unless there will be zero incidents with 12.4 there will be huge consequences for Tesla if they remove the nags without stating they take ownership and it is L3-5.
it makes no sense to say Elon is risk adverse and incredibly cautious at times and certain circumstances he is but at other times, he is absolutely not clearly SpaceX launches were not risk adverse
Would the Waymo model lose money at scale? The cost of keeping a driver in a taxi for 18 hours per day, 365 days runs in excess of $100,000. Let's assume Waymo-type services is able to operate three cars per remote driver. Saving $200k per year should more than cover the cost of adding lidar and other gizmos to the robos in the first year of operation. I'm not saying that Tesla's robos wouldn't be a lot cheaper to operate. Just that at least for some period of time the Waymo approach should work.
Hopefully Tesla has started the approvals process in British Columbia as government law bans L3 and above without specific permission. Will BC owners have access to Summon and Banish?
I like Larry and clearly he is a smart guy, but how can you say that Elon Musk is risk averse? He is literally anything but. Tesla and SpaceX were weeks away from bankruptcy back in the day. You can make an argument that he is good at mitigating risk, but definitely wouldn’t consider Musk risk averse.
Car to cloud dsta collection us Elons case for disrupting google maps, yelp, trip advisor etc. The quicker they get x in the car = additional ad revenue streams.
New versions of FSD coming out every week which causes Tesla stock to drop every trading day ! The big investors are not convince that FSD will become mainstream
There are many interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire
You should know it's easy and hard to make that much profit. I say EASY because it's very possible to make that much, and Hard because you'll need professional assistance to do it, I'd suggest you get assisted by a market advisor.
I'm an advocate for having a diverse investment strategy. I grew to a 5 figure mark with my portfolio having exposure to different areas of the market, including small and large-caps of the ETF index, blue chip stocks, coins, grade bonds and alternatives like cryptocurrency markets, as this helps manage the overall risk on my portfolio managed by my FA.. Credits to my adviser, Jonathan, i have no doubt investing more
So many inaccuracies in the analysis. Firstly there have NOT been huge leaps in FSD since V12. From 12.3.3 onwards all the ‘updates’ have been sideways steps with no net progress. Really, Elon is risk adverse and cautious?. U can’t be serious. He didn’t even want to produce a model 2 compact car and only wanted a robotaxi - were it not for other senior Tesla execs who persuaded him otherwise where would Tesla stock price be right now! without a smaller cheaper car on the horizon!!!!! Herbert bases all his opinions on FSD on how confident Elon feels about FSD - without having any technical AI background or expertise himself. Supposedly 12.4 is out next week - even if it’s late which it probably will be - we don’t have long to wait to find out if it will blow your mind. Wonder what Elon fanboys will be saying then. I believe Tesla will solve FSD - but it won’t be soon - and it will only happen IF the rest of the company is profitable enough to fund its development.. …
Always the next version, then the version after that, in an infinite loop. Stock to the moon ! Let’s just say the “solve” FSD. Okay, now what? I’m still driving myself around, I’m more efficient in MOST situations, parking lots, strange intersections, short cuts and - reading the eyes and mannerisms of the other drivers. I will always be a better, more efficient driver. FSD is like changing the radio station by thinking about it - cool ? Yes - needed? Not at all. Robotaxi? Sure fine, Tesla wants to be a cab company? Sure, how many cabs are in the roads vs private owed cars, now, 10 years ago, 20, 30 years ago? Nothing has changed. You can make money with a cab company- sure - plenty of people do? A 10 trillion dollar company?????? Get a grip and end this meme pump insanity or we should call the SEC of these ridiculous podcasts. Who the hell is paying you people to pump Tesla stonk? Arc investment?
You're right about the infinite loop. I'm not holding out hope anymore. I'll believe it when it's actually proven. That said I think you undermine the potential of robotaxi once it is real. At scale it can become cheaper than owning a car, which could reduce car ownership for many people who would otherwise be under financial strain because of car/insurance/maintenance payments they're forced to make. It could also take some share from certain public transport users. Even if slightly more expensive than public transport the convenience could still be worth it.
Who is dumb enough to buy Tesla FSD for $12,000.00 or any price and still have to supervise how the car drives! It like hiring a babysitter but you have to still be there! 🤣😂😂🤣

Herbert, is your mic gain turned up too high? The volume is fine, but it sounds a little off.

The nag actually required you to do the opposite of its intention which was to make sure you were watching the road, by making you look at the screen.
FYI I’ve been in Nashville for four days and FSD has had a number of safety critical challenges and I’ve got 12.3.6
CT ratio is not a problem for FSD. FSD can directly control the wheels at a 1:1 ratio. It’s possible that they want FSD on CT not drive the steering wheel at all and see that might be possible with FSD 12.5 or 12.6 and are waiting for that.

how willFSD handle toll passes on highways or parking garages where a human reaches for a ticket or reaches out to pay?
Elon is for automation so EZ Pass is preferred on highways; the car will stop at parking lot gates on FSD

No
Hello guys

Does anyone know how many TESLA cars have not used FSD yet? I see so many Teslas and many are DRIVERS DRIVING.
