The 2021 Cadillac Escalade brings a complete refresh to the GM flagship luxury SUV, and after spending a couple days with a Platinum trim version, I am so impressed. The recipe has stayed essentially the same, this is an enormous vehicle that just delivers more of everything. The exterior has been updated to be more modern, with some awesome welcome light animations. The inside is where the next level features show up. Indeed GM is back. The c8 is an italian-supercar killer and this Escalade represents what Cadillac should be: luxury but with an americana vibe and feel to it. Im from europe but both these cars are killers.

I love my 2009 Escalade with 46,000 miles but wouldn’t turn this down! Beautiful. Mine has the 6.2 engine.
I wouldn't trade my 2009 esv especially when the hubby added upgrades ppl think I'm driving a 2014

I think the ones thing you might have forgotten to mention is the lift gate also has a separate rear window lift. So you don't always have to open the entire lift gate, just the glass itself.
You didn’t mention that you can open trunk with swinging with your foot under the bumper where the logo on the ground and it will open automatically

This interior needs to make it's way into the CT5, particularly the V series...its honestly the only reason I'm waiting to lease one. But I'm not sure how Cadillac can achieve that given that the CT5 starts at $37k...that Escalade interior is just too good for the lower price point...it would have to be a minimum $60k sedan to get something close to that quality

How much does remote and standing warm-ups, wintry weather, and videography impact city / mileage? Some I suspect. Coefficient of friction, marketing, durations, standards testing environment, etc. Not meant to be snarky. It's just how my head works. Way a above quality review. The diesel get 27 mpg highway so there is that. If Audi and everyone else can share a shifter or button why is it horrible for Cadillac? You can sit ina Bentley or Lamborghini and see Audi VW parts. People always get me with that. You even said can the features trickle down. Well when they do you complain that it's in lower cars. They can't win.
Even the new S Class has shared plastic turn signals from the lower end benzs as well.

These higher end vehicles with all of those high tech options should contain an extra source of power. Most of the batteries die down drastically in less than 20K miles from my experience.
They should have made the buttons platinum

Almost Half of 2021 Cadillac Escalades Have Sold for over $100K
The redesigned 2021 Escalade starts at $77,490 for the base Luxury trim, but GM reports that 43 percent of buyers paid more than $100,000 for theirs.
"[The] all-new Cadillac Escalade retook market leadership in its segment in Q4," GM stated in its 2020 fourth-quarter sales report. It sold 9454 Escalades in that time, including 2020 models. GM also said the Escalade's fourth-quarter retail deliveries were up 19 percent. Car & Driver

Not a packaged deal from Samsung, two entirely separate projects. AKG is owned by _Harmon,_ not Samsung. Cadillac collaborated with *LG* to develop the curved OLED display.

I have the 2021 esv premium luxury in black, it doesn't say esv on the truck, rather 600 instead but the website says esv instead. Don't know what that nonsense is about. Really hate the grille and I'd like to get a platinum grille on it. Not to fool anyone into thinking i have a platinum I just hate the stupid silver oval looking nonsense but the dealership couldn't swap it. The truck only looks nice with the traditional horizontal bar grille.
Also find it poor that the platinum has the cheaper non platinum animation on the display. How did they overlook that.

Well yes they made it gorgeous but two imperative things making It not to want to buy it. First: not reliable like a Toyota, so they would have to work on that and make it bullet proof against things getting bad on the vehicle (electrical or mechanical)!!!! The second big problem: fuel economy !!! All car companies have improving fuel economy, it is possible to have luxury and fuel economy in the same time!! It is possible!! So I m wondering what the Escalade will do if we have electric cars only in ten years....;)) I have no problem to spend money on a car, but I have a problem if it’s not for long time (not reliable) and I have a problem if it doesn’t get at least 32-35 mpg (it’s possible) .... till then, suck it Cadillac;) !!!
Each time I watch a review of this Escalade I feel hurt. The potential of this car is not utilized. A very beautiful car that should be taken to full opulence to give RR a fight. No 22" wheel? No turbo or supercharger? Why captain's chair? Where's the fridge & tray for back passengers? Why 3rd row seat for a luxury SUV? Where's the cotton? What's wrong with 750hp & 850pft?

So after spending a $100000 is there a guarantee that I won't have a collapse lifter and possibly even a bent rod after 50,000 miles? Not mention how many miles do I go intill it will need some walnut blasting to clean the valves?
I have owned a few 6.2 liter GMCs and had no engine issues to 150k miles.
