Today I stone setting and polishing the platinum ceylon sapphire engagement ring L.E. 1/12 with an amazing ceylon sapphire (0,87 ct) and diamonds (0,29 ct total weight color G, VSI) * Limited edition (explained below).
* The Limited Edition means that I will only create 12 pieces of each design and therefore only 12 people in the world could and will have them.
Each piece will be engraved on the inside “L.E. 1/12 by Cimadevila” and successively.
Why this number and not another one? Well, because 12 is a special number for me. I was born on 12/12

My great grandfather was a goldsmith and ring manufacturer from Spain and built a huge business in the US in the 30s, I never really knew what went into the craft until seeing your videos. The last ring he ever made with his bare hands was the engament ring my dad gave to my mom :).

You know I never really understood why jewelry was so expensive a lot of the metals and gems aren't as valuable as they're made out to be but it makes a lot of sense now. I see why they're worth so much this ring is beautiful and it's clear how much passion you have for the craft

I was impatient but seeing the detailed craft that goes behind jewelry making is amazing!!

The craziest thing to me is it's a masterpiece before the stones are even set. Damn!
Thought just the same thing. To me, it looked sort of "glitzy" without the stones and long before it was finished. When I saw the wheelchair I asked myself if it has to be "paid for" if someone is such an outstanding artist.
I hate TH-cam for recommending this master piece that late. . . Truly mesmerized. . . .

That gem is from Sri lanka. Ceylon tea,gems, any familiarness with the word Ceylon? That's how British ppl named srilanka during their period in the country. And then the British ppl made that name 'ceylon', famous around the world while selling spices, gems, tea and so many natural resources... ppl around the world recognized our products as ceylon products. So yeahh, basically it's Sri Lanka.🙂

I am very familiar with Sri Lanka as I am from India though have never visited this beautiful island. But in my next trip back home, I must go there and find some blue sapphires, I love them passionately. Will also search for color change Alexanderites. I’m so great full for you sharing this wonderful art, it’s one that has mystified me as a kid as how gorgeous rings are actually made . I’m humbled at the amount of intricate work and skill that’s gone into to not only yours but my own diamond trilogy diamond platinum ring . I knew it was special and of course they come with sentiment ,but to know that it wasn’t mass made in some factory reassures me that it was made with love and care .
