  • Yak Kitchen restaurant in Bangalore for Tibetan food was highly recommended, so I went out for having some new Tibetan dishes there. After reaching the location I found out that the restaurant was shut down. So then I went to another Tibetan restaurant called Tibetan Mother's Kitchen and had for the first time two Tibetan dishes - Laphing and Thenthuk. The only Tibetan dishes I had had before this were Momos and Thukpa.
    Join me for the new dishes and stay tuned for more Tibetan food vlogs!

    • @Tashi_delek_10
      @Tashi_delek_10 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DCTravelerExperience yes, steamed bun, u should have ask dry laphing less spicy and thenthuk is mostly eaten during winter, cold weather. steamed bun goes with alu phingsha, shapta, gravy type. I guess u r struggling to get butter tea....lol butter tea with Tibetan round bread(baklap) sweet or plain is taken in breakfast. Not frankly staffs, I know of their language issues. speaking fluent English is quite challenging. So there feel shy for sure on camera. That's Tibetan in nature.

    Hi sir love to see your new vlogs. i just want to clarify your confusion in Tibetan names Tenzin is very comman because the Tenzin names given by His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. And like sonam is in both gerder the 2nd name mentions the gender (ex) sonam lhamo (girl) and sonam gyatso (boy). Hope i clarify your little confusing. With love from paris 😊😊😊

    • @Thoesam
      @Thoesam 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello brother; FYI Tenzin is common name of Tibetans but you have to check their second names or full name. Like Tenzin Tashi(M), Tenzin Dhondup(M), Tenzin Lhamo(F) and Tenzin Dolma(F). The names of Tibetan Male and female are not sane or common, it’s totally different. You can identify it by second name only.

    I am noticing you are tasting or eating thukpa or a soup with a fork. Whole idea of thukpa is to eat the noodle (in this one, flat) with a soup. You need to scoop the noodle and juice/vegs/meat altogether, then you will be able to critic it. In order for you to critic the food, you’ve to try months and months and then do comparisons. There are many Tibetan dishes, will have similar taste everywhere you travel around the world in Tibetan diaspora but then may be not but it doesn’t mean, they have to add chilly in every dish to make it tasty.

    I understand you are trying to explore Tibetan dishes, but somehow I noticed that your point of views for every dish has been from an Indian point of view, who grew up eating only Indian food. Every video I watched, you stated “this needs little spicy,” not true! As a vlogger, you’ve to be little open to try without or with chilli or masalas in every dish. As you already know, foods have long history and it goes back to history, genetics, geography and list goes on…
