That's amazing. Neither D nor I understood most of it, only the concept. Told our neighbor you were working on it. Since he is leaving tomorrow in his beautiful motor home, we almost started packing and hitching a ride upon his invitation. Exciting.

Old tractors were like that, each or two cylinders has its own head gasket. pain in the butt. hope you got a good torque wrench.

First poster! Interesting stuff. I wouldn't want to get into one of those.

Great video! Got a question: How much is the A/C pump in the way and can you keep it connected so the freon stays in the system? I want to do the head gaskets in my Westy and like to keep the engine case in the van while doing it. Watching you video ( you have the exact same van ) that should not be an issue. Thanks!

Back in '86 there was one that come in the shop a lot. I always got blessed with working on it, until I hit second gear leaving the driveway and the STUPID PLASTIC hub cap flew in the neighbors window, DOH.

Cool set up on that engine.
Looks like it could be messed up very quickly if you don't know what you're doing.
I thought it was a flat sex not a flat 4, lol

It's like a Subaru engine with 1/3 of the reliability.
"Subaru head gaskets fail also".........Not like these POS's, they don't.
