The 6 wheeler is the deal. We have had 2 of them. They are work horses. Chain driven which makes it have more torque and able to haul/tow more. Great purchase 💪🏻
I’d say the best skid you can get is Takeuchi and my favorite model and the one I recommend to you is a tl12 high flow. Every brand is good but from everything I hear can’t go wrong with a Takeuchi…
For skid steers, I suggest a new Holland or Takeuchi we have a couple older ones that we have used for my heavy equipment class and they havent broken down once

Flair I’m an equipment operator, blowing hoses especially hydraulic ones is super common for everything when you’re working machines. It happens to everything. JD skidsteers are way better than cat or anything
Also, spend the money when you get your new truck, and with your current white F-250 buy a Western Wide-out Plow and western rock spreader, you won’t be disappointed. I’d recommend putting a flat bed on the new/old farm truck too before you set the rock spreader down.
I had one but mine was a 2014 Sportsman Big Boss 6X6 800 with fuel injection. You used to be able to get a set of tracks for them that just wrap over the 4 rear tires like snow chains. You can also buy those 6x6 brand new. I saw an ad for a 2023 Big Boss 570 6X6.

Don't cross contaminate coolant colors. I have a workover rig for work and mixes green and red and coolant and it burnt my water pump up and the mechanic said it was all coagulated inside the pump. Idk if there's merit to that but just a heads up.
I bought a 1998 big boss 500 6 wheel drive from a guy one owner… love it on and around the farm strong as a ox… only bad thing is the flywheels magnets come apart and mess up the stator… should be a great wheeler.
I used to work on huge construction sites and the bosses would use those 6 wheelers to run around the job site. They were used for actual work sometimes but the "soft hands"used them to keep from getting muddy on the site.
hey as a john Deere tech stuff does get missed from time to time but its not if u touch and coolant system your are supposed to pressure a the system to check for leaks the coolant is a little different there additive that's in the John Deere coolant that for the water sleeve engine to help with e corrasion of the water jacket side of the sleeve in the engine the nosier after start up sound like the belt wet and it dry up and be quieter there side panel do come off the side of the engine compartment for easier access to the engine also 6g seems a little high for thought repairs
Flair I've seen many issues with these skids I personally have nothing against them because they are nice machines but we bought a cat 279 last year and have ran er hard working and it has gave no issues it has about 700 hrs on it now but if u were thinking about purchasing a new one I would recommend one of those cats but I have also heard good things about john deers I am not bais to cat but would rocomend.

No hate but if you own a skid the operators manual should be in the cab and that will usually specify you what type of coolant to use, it may not seem like a big thing but mixing certain types can cause premature failure. With how much that skid costs its worth it to do things by the book
The 6X6 Polaris was a great deal ! Weren't you just saying you wanted to have something where you can just drive by and feed the animals ? You could fit all kinds of feed bins in the bed of that. Then just stop at each pen and scoop out some feed. It's a little bumpy so maybe you need a padded basket when you use it to go down to collect the eggs. 😉
Great deal man I have the exact same one same year and cc best running 4wheeler I've ever owned. Starts everytime 👍. My recommendations for snow plow and wench get KFI wench and KFI plow for that year fits great and pretty easy to mount and easy pins for use and removal when your done with the plow 👌. ralphs getting big bud, make sure the new fence is tall enough so he doesn't try to reach over it and graze. mine bend 3 inch tube stock panels just with there neck. we are putting in 5ftx20ft continuous fencing panels with a 5"x8' post every 8ft.

Flair! If you lift the boom in the air, put the boom lock on then you can pull the side engine panels off much more room to work

I used to do diesel mechanics...you gotta make sure coolant comes mixed 50/50 with water otherwise you gotta mix in water
