      Asian are too fragmented.
They can learn from the Jewish community.
They're together and look after each other. They come together to elect a representative in the local community to get their concern address in the city hall or their district.
I don't see Asian community that do that. They are so preoccupied to accepted. They truth is Asian has always been excluded in US history.

      - It was after the controversial acquitted verdict of the Rodney King trial involving the (corrupt) LAPD; I was thinking about the Rooftop Koreans, who had to fight for themselves, in order to protect their convenience/grocery stores. Yes, there was always tension between Koreans and the African-Americans; they had businesses in the black neighborhood, like a liquor store, cash checking or a pawn shop. I think of Latasha Harlins (with a backpack): all over a $1.79 can of OJ, which she had the money to pay for it; but a middle-aged Korean lady, the shop owner, had still shot her; the shop keeper thought that Latasha was going to steal it and put it in her backpack.) Maybe the cops were too afraid to go down there; so, the national guard had to be called in to kill the riots and shut it down.

Asian in general are more geared towards peace and humbleness. But tends to forget that there is the other side of things. Growing up as a black sheep in an asian family. I've learned really quick that only I'm in charge of my safety and the safety of my love ones. In my younger years a fist fight is typically a normal day. But getting older I've grown tired of it. Now I carry a little friend and try to walk away if given the chance. However by saying that I would encourage everyone asian or not. Learn to shoot understand your immediate environment. Pay attention to your surroundings at all time. Know every inch of your house. Obviously cameras and lights will help. In conclusion prepared for the worst but hope for the best. Finally practice practice practice. This includes guns, martial arts or just bare first. When you are confident troubles seems to go elsewhere. Stay alert and safe everyone.

Hate is not required for harm to occur, and it’s certainly not required for racism to persist-ignorance is more than enough. As a Black man, I feel deep empathy for the Asian community over these acts targeted violence. This absolutely constitutes a hate crime, and we must stand together against these injustices.
However, solidarity also means addressing some hard truths. There's a perception among some that when violence or discrimination affects Black and Latinx communities, certain Asian communities have been silent-or worse, have sided with white supremacy. This history of mutual distrust complicates the solidarity we desperately need to face these systemic issues together.
Anti-Blackness adds another layer. If 10 white men commit violence against Asian folks there’s often some pushback, but if a Black person is involved even once, the discourse quickly devolves into racial slurs, stereotypes, and thinly veiled threats of collective punishment. The outrage seems disproportionate, focusing on individual Black offenders while ignoring the systemic oppression maintained primarily by white supremacy.
We must acknowledge that Black and Latinx communities didn’t create the harmful stereotypes used against Asian folks. We don’t control the systems that have historically oppressed Asian people-whether through exclusion laws, internment camps, or, more recently, the scapegoating of East Asian folks during Covid the same way West and South Asians were targeted after 9/11.
Standing in solidarity means seeing the bigger picture: the true architects of systemic racism are the same forces that pit our communities against each other. Addressing that honestly, while working together, is the only way forward.

My humble solution is that we need a master class of American values parenting for these Confucius values Asian parents so that their children / their descendances can grow up as Americans with self respect and dignity as everyone in their neighborhoods.

Asian Americans fear to bite the hand that feeds them because they don’t want to compromise their chances of climbing the ladder, securing assets, and social mobility. Amongst them is that Black people are resentful toward Asians because Asians are minority and succeeding even more than White people in household income as large ethnic group. Asians destroyed the white privilege (though there is such thing as bamboo ceiling).
I have heard that Asians tend to charge more money on foreigners who come into their businesses. Especially Vietnamese businesses both in Vietnam and in the US. I am always considered a foreigner despite my mother being Vietnamese.

With 340 million people in the U.S., not everybody is going to get along so there is going to be problems. I don't believe that Asians are being attacked more than any other group. When a few incidents get highlighted, it makes it appear as if one group is targeted. Like when you buy a new car and all of a sudden you notice that car type all over the roadways. Crime is problem for everybody.
