I am 62 and grew up with Sabbath. This was always my favourite album, maybe because it was the first one I bought. It's a master class in drumming from Bill Ward and super funky. One of the top 10 rock albums of all time.

You can’t fully appreciate this song unless you read the lyrics… when little worlds collide (sperm/egg) I’m trapped inside my embryonic cell (conception) forgotten memories cast down the never ending well (transitioning from one life to the next and forgetting those memories)…damn, that shit is deep

Geezer Butler's attempt to send his mind back to within the womb and express what (if one were able to express such at such a time-which one ISN'T!) the thoughts and feelings surrounding that/involved in that experience, might be.

A particularly mysterious song inspired by Geezer's pondering "who selects what sperm gets through to the egg." The "embryonic cell" apparently is the enigmatic entity making this decision. Early on the song hints at a deeper understanding of the world and the secrets the superhuman narrator holds. Despite this entity's role as a prophet or seer, their uncertainty about the future parallels the paradoxical idea of an "unborn child " influencing the destinies of all conceived children. The lyrics also seem to hint at the cyclical nature of life and the interconnectedness of past and present. The message of embracing love as a life-giving force and rejecting hate as a path to spiritual decay and emptiness is a profound one indeed. Overall, the song emphasizes the significance of finding meaning in the interconnectedness of all life while also acknowledging the inevitability of death and the mysteries that lie beyond.

Man, this song is dope! Is a B-Side but is one of my favorites of Sabbath. This album is amazing, sometimes I put this in my top-1 from them, but I'm always changing my mind about which one is the best, because there are at least 5 albuns which would be debatable.
From this album, Sabbra Cadabbra, Killing Yourself to Live and Spiral Architect are another 3 "musts" if you're looking to get to know the band's discography in depth. But I'd pay attention to Fluff, too. A beautiful acoustic instrumental track.

Might want to google Aleister Crowley because the song is about him. You won't be disappointed. Randy Rhoads was the best EVER in my view but he only played on two albums. He died at the age of 25 while on tour with Ozzy in a tragic plane crash .You should read about that too. Would love to see your reaction.
