That boy knows nothing about business affairs and running a company. He let his father and mother get into his head that he could take control of a company without any business experience.
You will note that as soon as Lu Jin got to the top of the conference table, he never took his eyes off Zheng? While everyone stood up to greet the major stockholder of the company out of respect, Zheng remained seated. That alone gave Lu Jin the general impression of Zheng's lack of business etiquette because regardless of how you dislike the leader, when everybody shows respect, you do too, then air your grievance once the meeting starts.
Two major mistakes. Not fully understanding how his brother operates and using the woman he loves.
He was warned in previous episode but he didn't understand it. Worse is when he used Shengnan to get yo Lu Jin. Like Lu Jin said, he will not blame zheng about the business but the fact he used Jin's loved one is another thing.

@@U-Gozoo But later Lu Jin went back and gave the company back to his younger brother. The younger brother was taught a valuable lesson. Lu Jin went and apologized for not being a good brother over the years. Lu Jin learned a valuable lesson, too! And the family began to heal. VERY GOOD DRAMA! :)

Lu Jin's whole demeanor during the stockholders' meeting is truly spectacular. The whole aura and the fixed look he gave his cocky brother from the time he came to the room is quite telling what will happen next. The rude brother who did not even stand up to greet him out of professional courtesy had it coming. Even more admirable is that once formalities were done, he dismissed everyone to talk in private with his brother since the issues did not involve others. His detailed delivery of everything his brother has done, including what he taught him not to do is so businesslike, full of impact.

I just loved this scene and the way Lujin dealt with his little brother and his attempt to overthrow Lujin. The way he left him a "sweet" on the table and walked away was priceless. I love this drama.

Zheng got too comfortable too soon. He lost sight of the fact he is dealing with someone whom he himself claimed "never lost" in business. And worse yet, Zheng used Shengnan to get yo Lu Jin.

这剧是标准的反面教材，传统上的门当户对，有其颠扑不破的正确性
So they're both just using her as a pawn.
No the older brother really loves her. The younger brother used her because he loved her and the fact that he never showed a motion towards him growing up sort of pissed him off. Then add in the fact that he begged his older brother not to take his company but the brother didn't understand that as his little brother he was the one begging him he was taking the company because the father had left him the older brother when he was little for the mother of the little brother if that makes sense to you.
There was no plan on lu Jin's part to use Shengnan. Indirectly, in fact, by buying Mingting he is saving the company from being bought by an outsider for a song since the business is in deep trouble. At some point, whether it is now or later, Zheng has to learn how to run the business. Personally, lu Jin has no interest in Mingting.
