I'm a Liverpool fan and to me Michael Owen will always be a traitor. That being said, comparing Marcus Rashford to him is an absolute joke. Michael Owen was a Ballon d'Or winner. Rashford is a 26 year old who's still considered some youth prospect who'll someday come good.

Varane out and Maguire last straw?! English bias is something else. Maguire wouldn’t get anywhere the french squad, whereas Varane has been our stand out defender for last 10 years, not to mention all the CL medals he has from Real Madrid
But they're not basing this on performance, everyone agrees he was great last year. Thing is Maguire fights for the badge and his spot amidst a struggling United. Varane has asked to leave. Keeping people who want to leave is never gonna work. I say this as a Liverpool fan.

Amrabat is only on loan whereas Mount is permanent. That's the difference. You're not gonna keep a player after their loan if they haven't performed well during that loan. I don't personally like the Mount signing but you're hardly gonna say sell when the lad hasn't really even played a game yet.
Mount has looked good when he's played but has been injured, Amrabat has had one good game. Nothing wrong with their opinion.

I’d keep Mctominay as a squad player. He can fill in the Fellaini role because he is very good at finding opportunities in the box. But nowhere near good enough to be a midfielder or a striker. So overall, a good option to throw in the box when we’re desperate for a goal. Nothing more.
The fact that they’re confused about Varane and Casemiro says everything. Both are world class players, but they look way worse than they actually are because they got donkeys around them in the pitch.

I think United's problem is just hoping players from the academy will "turn" good somewhere along the line. We've seen it with Welbeck, Lingard, Rashford. Why don't they get that's not real? Special players are special from day 1 the first time you see them play. You only have to look at any of the best players in history and currently. Messi wasn't a bundle of hope that managed to come good one year. He blitzed the pitch every time he stepped on it.
Olivier Giroud started his career in France's third tier (not even a professional league), didn't have a professional contract until 21 (and that was in League 2), didn't get a senior call up for France until 25. Miroslav Klose was playing Sunday League football in Germany aged 20. Robert Lewandowski was still in the Polish Ekstraklasa at 22. All of them went on to have, let's say, decent careers with decent achievements. But there's one thing they all had in common - the never-dying desire to improve. Something that Rashford doesn't have, didn't have and will never have. You don't have to be Messi to become a great player that can be a great asset to any team and play consistently at the highest level, and even Messi had to work on himself to stick around for so long. Players don't just "turn" good, that's correct. Some people seem to think that Cristiano's muscles just grew by themselves
@@zosiazaremba7479 I think being picked up late by a scout and what I've said are two separate things. Messi could have been one who didn't get scouted until 22... It doesn't mean he "turned" good at 22.
Players like Welbeck were at United from the age of 6 and never developed. Even though he broke into the first team he was always below the standard. It shows you either have it or don't there's not really an in-between.
Look at Haaland. He's already good at such a young age. City aren't of the premise "he'll get us 30 a season one day" he's already doing it.
You couldn’t be more wrong imo. Players can have all the skill in the world but no motivation and that’s the key here. They don’t want the responsibility of playing for a club like Man United, they want an easy ride.

Eth got top 4 on his 1st season, Won a trophy (whether it was league cup or not, a trophy is a trophy, and united really needed it) had one of the highest win percentages in his what, first 50 games? And turned Old Trafford into a Fortress, beating every top 6 team atleast once, and even beating last season La Liga winners at OT.
Not mentioning that really and truly, the place arteta was at last season, he should've won the prem, and before arsenal fans come flying in with the Excuse of Saliba being injured, United was playing 2-3 games weekly, as they were in all competitions, Martinez suffered a horrible injury, as did Eriksen, 2 key players of ours. This season we've had 23 seperate different injuries. Main ones being : Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Martinez, Awb, Malacia. ( they had quite long periods of time out) Like atleast let the poor man have a full season with his actual squad, and not having to test out like 9 different centreback pairings, and see what he can achieve (well we have seen what they can achieve, a genuine team who wanted to fight for the badge they were wearing). If then, he doesn't produce, you can consider 'ditching' him.
