The upcycle blouse was soooo much better and looks fabulous on you! What an improvement. All the blouses are really lovely. I'm very happy you explained how you narrowed the neck on the first top. I have the same issue all the time. Thanks!
I made M6960 and it was huge, with baggy neck and armacye. Your viscose drapes so beautifully. I’m going to make it, again, someday, but I’ll size down and raise the neckline. Love the crossover version, but it takes a lot of fabric. Really cute tops! 😊-Deborah
Hi Wendy 👋 , lovely makes I like all the colours and styles , I know what and where that blouse would of ended up 😂😂 a pat on the back for undoing and remaking it giving it new life ❤ enjoyed the vlog 😊thanks for sharing take care lovely lady xx
I totally love that you unpicked and resewed the Simplicity blouse, Wendy - the old version didn’t suit you, I thought, and the new one looks amazing! I’m going through a phase myself of assessing what I actually wear in my wardrobe and what I look at and put back. Those last I’m going to gift (to deserving friends!) even though they are handmade. Then I have space for future makes I’ll like better! Thanks for your video! X
Thank you! Yes I'm so pleased I took the plunge, got the scissors out, chopped up the original blouse and made a far better suited blouse. Deffo go through your wardrobe and have a clear out and have fun filling it back up again x
Your fabric choices are beautiful. You chose lovely styles and it was nice to see them made up! It has been very hot where I live, over 32 degrees C practically every day for most of the summer.
Love your new makes. Makes me happy to see others on a me made wardrobe. I too am reevaluating my wardrobe. Other the typical fit issues that we all find in garments I couldn’t figure out why I started over heating in the majority of my clothes. Finally I pinned it down to the fabric content. I can’t wear synthetic fibers anymore. I’ve started the process of making my own wardrobe out of all natural fibers. Good luck on future makes.
I just saw your channel. I enjoyed watching. Your blouses are lovely. I own three of your patterns, the 1st three in fact. I now have an idea on what they look like sewn.
It's funny, because I watch videos from the US and I'm jealous of how cheap your sewing patterns can be. Did Joanne's have a pattern sale of $1? Our patterns are £10 upwards, so I only ever buy them when they are half price. I do love a bargain.
@@wendysdelights I’m not sure about Joann’s sale. I need to check that out! 10 pounds is a lot for a pattern but I haven’t sewn in a while so I don’t know what they’re running
Thank you and thank you for noticing the blouse I'm wearing which is make from viscose fabric bought from Immanuel Fabrics, and the pattern is Threadcount Pattens TC1907, which was gifted to me. See my video here showing it off... th-cam.com/video/pJXtoLh48Xw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AlVH4A6CJIxcYz54
Thank you! I find Burda is small. I'm a UK size 18 on top so I always make my first attempt a size bigger, easier to reduce and size down than go up. I'm still learning and hopefully getting better results.
I really enjoy your videos! I like ALL of the patterns that you choose and the fabrics are SPOT ON!! I really hate to see you struggle with the fit. My suggestion, learn how to make a full bust adjustment. So, picture your upper bust with no boobs…..you are tiny!! Measure around yourself with the tape under your arm pits, just above your boobs. Use this measurement to choose your bust size then make a full bust adjustment to fit “the girls” then you can grade out below the bust to fit your hips. I know this is time consuming to learn but it will prevent you spending time correcting fit issues. There are many tutorials on TH-cam. If you have trouble learning FBA reach out to another sewist I’m sure someone will be happy to help you! ❤😊
Hi. I’ve only just found your channel. Am loving what I’ve seen up-to now but may I suggest you don’t cover your face when you’re talking please. Love all the blouses.
Absolutely love all the tops xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
@paularoberts2129 thank you 😊
Lovely pattern choices and the same for the fabrics. Beautiful and great sense of style.

@@trishsh5007 Thank you very much 😊

Very nice, thank you!
Thank you too!
All five tops look great on you! I tend to mainly sew indie patterns but have a selection of big 4 ones so perhaps time to give them a go.
Thank you 😊 do you find Indie patterns fit better?
I can’t believe the price of fabric either and I’m from East of England! Great choices. They really suit you!
Thank you, I love a bargain ☺️
All of them look very flattering on you
@rsplatt100 thank you 😊

Thank you, yes I think M6960 is oversized 🙂
Beautiful blouses!

@jennyallan8794 Hi Jenny, oh I did think of binning it, but being the tenacious bird I am, I wasn't going to let it beat me 😁 x
@@wendysdelights I knew you would say that !! 😂😂😂 xx
Amazing patterns and makes. You really nailed them!!. Welcome back 😊
Thank you so much ❤️
Beautiful blouses…well done Wendy….ive a couple of the patterns will now try. ❤😊
Glad I could be of help 😁

I wouldn't be able to cope in constant heat like that, it's been quite overcast today, and I really enjoyed it! 😁
Great fabrics. Loved them all!
Thanks so much! 😊
Lovely garments. I have Simplicity 9295 and it is great to see it made up as I haven’t sewn it yet. Love your channel 🧵 🪡 🦘

Isn’t it amazing how you can be a very experienced sewer and you can sew the sleeve to the neck by mistake. Ha ha. Greetings from Sydney 🦘
@sweetcharlotte2286 Hello to you! Wow I reach far and wide, thank you so much for watching 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 x
Love your tops. I always have the same issues with wide necks and adding to hips.
I think pattern makers think if you've got a big tum/bum your neck is proportionately as big lol! x
Great tops. Esp like the last 2. You didn't say what you were wearing, colour is great on you.

I had to add fisheye darts to the shirt too 😊
Now I've done fish eye darts a couple of times, I love the way it turns a blouse into a better shape x
I love all the blouses. Can’t believe you make big sizes you only look small. Do the patterns come up small?

Done that sewing issue too?? lol
