Daiei didn't opt for anything. Daiei did not make "Super Monster"; they were gone. "Super Monster" was made by Tokuma Publishing. The Daiei names/company mark/etc were used for old times' sakes. Also keep in mind the suit had deteriorated for eight years when it was used for this commercial. When it was new in 1980, it was used on the movie's B-type poster.
