Thank you all for your positive comments. Unfortunately, no further response has been made on the part of "Toy Overlords", "Premium DNA", "Megalopolis" or Matthew Westover (CEO of all companies mentioned) when it comes to my refund, or anyone else's for that matter.
Hey man, I want you to know your anime collection video from 2016 inspired me when I was first building my collection. It may have also inspired me to start making content. Glad to see youre still around I spent an hour trying to remember your channel!
I've had a little bit of recent experience with premium DNA. I bought a couple of the battletoads figures a few months ago, it was a bit slow getting them (it took a couple weeks) but their FB team responded quickly when I had questions. the only real negative is that ordering from their site has no flat rate shipping, so each item adds $10 to the shipping cost. I did end up pre-ordering the earthworm jim figure over black friday when they had free shipping, no update on a release window yet.
I really want that Earthworm Jim, though. But, thanks for the heads up. I might consider waiting until BBTS has actual product in stock if I get it. Have they made enough profit to pay customers back, yet? Or, are they just straight keeping peoples money, anyway?
I heard about this and tried to warn collectors on Facebook groups but administrators always deleted my posts and the posts of collectors who have gotten swindled. The westovers are friends with most you groups admins so it’s nearly impossible to warn ppl on groups
Oh man. I just heard about this after I heard that they are going to release Earthworm jim figs...I was so hyped but now im having cold feet... any updates??
I couldn't believe they were taking money for "hot off the truck" items that were essentially glorified pre-orders. Items that were in their own words still weeks if not an indeterminate length of time away from arriving. That's straight up deception and I called them out on it. Fortunately my refund was much faster in arriving.
I trust BBTS, but I still wouldn't do it. You'd either: A) Never get them (Their Barnyard Commandos figures were supposed to release over 2 years ago and absolutely nothing since) Or B) You still won't get them, but they'll release only to a few "influencers" / reviewers (i.e. Toy Bro), like with their Madballs figures, to give more false hope to the people who they stole from
And as you’ve said not many people are talking about this ! How can they sell on bbts?! Although I’m not one of the ones who they stole from this makes me upset, I hope you get your 273$ back.
I never ordered from those guys and was only generally aware of the issue. It's a bummer for everyone who got scammed, though. As much as I like Battletoads, they can get fucked. I'll never order from them.
Got burned by them and had to do a charge back through my bank. First time in my life I ever had to. There was a thread on the TFW2005 forums about them where we were all chronicling our experiences. There was a new poster that only posted in the thread that did nothing but deflect and gaslight on their behalf. The moderators shut down the discussion on us by locking it sadly. I wonder if there was outside pressure.
All those word of mouth suggestions from toy reviewers, I gave em a shot cause of that, the one time I don't use BBTS, I miss out on a mafex venom AND 90 bucks. Never getting that shit back lmao
It's crazy how they were able to get away with stealing from so many people and owing EE all that money and they just wiped their hands clean of it and started a new company. It's a real shame because all of the stuff premium dna has shown looks great but they'll always have that black cloud over their heads. It's even worse that they haven't acknowledged all of this in more detail
I ordered Rash and Zitz from their Battletoads line and Earthworm Jim when their listings showed up on Big Bad Toy Store (Even though I was aware of the controversy I love action figures of video game characters so of course I want the Battletoads and Earthworm Jim in my collection.) but the Battletoads were supposed to come out months ago. I know delays are a common thing in this industry but september is almost over, if they delay them again I think I'll better just cancel my orders outright, good thing I didn't pay in advance but I feel bad for anyone who did.
Man, I'm not sure if I want to get that Earthworm Jim action figure, but it seems cool. I'm gonna do some research to make sure this company is good and isn't like in some terrible scandal or something. oh.
Im excited for the Eathworm Jim line. However, I wont be ordering directly through them. I'll stick to one of the others I can trust. And one that doesn't charge until the figure is shipped.
It sucks I live in utah and the physical store was awesome. No bad experiences ever. Then covid hit and it sounds like they fucked everyone over. I ordered the premium dna barnyard commandos back in oct 2020. They are on BBTS site. They claim they ship this year.

Yeah I think we were had. Between this and lootcrate I'm done pre ordering stuff like this unless its a 5 dollar deposit or something similar.

That's where the money went to it was used to jumpstart Premium DNA.

Oh man, I just bought Rash and Zitz! I just found this video. I hope this isn't my fate....
oh god.... Just ordered two of the Mars Attacks figures off the PD website. Now I scroll down to find this video. Hope I dont get screwed over.
I really want the battletoads figures but i don't know if i want to deal with them, even with BBTS as intermediary

@@GungraveFreak well, that decides it. I guess it won't be a problem because at the end nobody would get them
I ordered the toads directly from them and got them about a week and a half-two weeks later. also BBTS did recently get them in.
And as you’ve said not many people are talking about this ! How can they sell on bbts?! Although I’m not one of the ones who they stole from this makes me upset, I hope you get your 273$ back.
Does premium dna have a physical store
hell no. they are scam artists. Megalopolis had a physical store that went under around the same time they were stealing from people
Have they still not done it?
Ordered a figure about the same time you did. Asked for a refund but they never did. It took 4 months and a threat with reporting them.

I had the same story. Mine was the S.H. Figuarts Great Ape Vegeta. I ended up having to backcharge it.
