I know this is filmed 9 months ago, but the current county in texas that im about to buy from is strictly online now. Said they used to only be in person, but now all done online....
Is this a workshop I could take for example below I'm looking to buy foreclosed land for a small business and double wide trailer for my personal life for me and my family ( not sure if that matters) I don't know where to start
I'm in Oregon and I'm having a hiccup with most counties. It seems there isn't any over the counter deed sales and the sheriff's department has taken over. An auction coming up in Yamhill county lists a house going up for 190k.. how is that possible if it's a tax deed sale? It seems like the rules are changing and the counties are getting greedy.
Wow, thanks for your questions. You are absolutely right the counties are getting greedy. The state of Oregon makes the rules at the legislature level, they pass the rules down to the board of supervisors or county commissioners so you need to start at the state level and find the state statute that explains how the tax sale works and then follow that statute. Generally speaking tax auctions are handled at the county level by the Treasurer/ tax collector. It is unusual for the sheriff to be involved, however, you need to get the statutes to see if things have changed, Oregon has a history of being unique.
With this link, you can sign up for FREE to access information on all 50 states, along with a calendar highlighting upcoming auctions in your chosen state! This will help determine if you live in a tax lien or deed state. If you live in a tax deed state, check with your local county for upcoming tax auctions. tedthomas.com/freeytl/
Wait. So the host said it's not free if he has to pay to travel. And then Ted says, you can do it electronically by hiring someone to do work for you. So... It's still not free?
Thanks for your question! We recommend you view the property yourself or hire someone to view the property - this may or may not cost you depending on the team you have built around the areas you plan to place your bid - Ted Thomas Team
